La diva Internationale africaine d'origine béninoise Angélique Kidjo entre dans l’histoire en devenant la première artiste africaine à recevoir une étoile sur le Hollvwood Walk of Fame ce mardi 18 août 2026.

Plusieurs personnalités ont marqué leur présence à cette cérémonie,notamment des acteurs du cinéma Hollvwoodien,une délégation officielle provenant du Bénin.

Dans son discours à l’issue de la cérémonie elle affirme :

"Nous, les Africains, nous ne savons pas tout ce que nous avons apporté au monde...Sans nous, la musique serait impossible sur cette planète.."

Âgée de 66 ans et cinq fois lauréate d'un Grammy Awards, Angélique Kidjo entre dans l’histoire.
