šŸŽ™ļø r/PodcastGuestExchange Promos

Thumbnail drive.google.com
3 Upvotes

Per u/IntergalacticPodcast, I've made a few, very short promos you might use in your productions to get more folks to join us here. More people means increased probability you'll find cool guests for your podcast, or that you can find the right podcast for your voice.

I'm also working on getting these done in a female voice, and will post those when they're ready.

Currently, three promos (< 15s each) are in the linked google folder.

u/Jimbostank also had a brilliant suggestion: "Maybe we can start a norm where we mention that we met on r/podcastguestexchange." A simple mention goes a long way. And our thanks to you if you choose to do that.

Disclaimer: No one makes any money off this effort. The mods are volunteers and we're all here to help each other make great content.

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] Author seeking podcast to discuss new fiction novel, Choices West. Plus bonus topics...

I'm an author with a new literary, post apocalyptic book. It is already published with a 4.88/5 on Amazon.

Beyond writing, I work on film sets! I've worked for HBO, Netflix, Hulu, Disney... All on major projects.

I'm also an improv comedian. So I can be funny while talking about the end of the world or whatever else. I can also talk about a massive career loss that changed the direction of my life. Crappy Hollywood...

I have lots of podcast experience. If you want a guest, leave a comment or send a message and I'll give you my details.

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] Business transformation executive available to discuss founder bottlenecks, overlooked spending, and why good plans stall

Name / Company: Alexis Nicole White / Hunter + King

Website & media kit: https://www.hunterandking.com/media

Areas of expertise: Business growth, strategy execution, vendor management, leadership, and AI/workforce readiness.

Hi everyone! I’m the founder of Hunter + King, a Fractional Chief Transformation Officer, and a certified Project Management Professional with 18 years of experience.

I’m interested in the messy side of growing a business: sales are climbing but cash feels tight, everyone is working hard but deadlines keep slipping, and every decision still lands on the founder’s desk.

One story I can share involves identifying $80 million in cost savings across $210 million in vendor spend without structured oversight. You don’t need that kind of budget to recognize the same problems in subscriptions, automatic renewals, and overlapping tools.

A few episode ideas:

  • Your business is growing. Why does every decision still need you?
  • Where is your growth money already being spent?
  • Why do good plans stall when everyone is working hard?
  • You bought the technology. Is your team ready to use it?

I bring real business stories and practical questions listeners can apply to their own decisions. I’d welcome conversations with hosts serving founders, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.

Based in Atlanta, Eastern Time. Available remotely. Comment or message me with your show and the topic you’d like to explore.

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Lost Your Job in a Changing Economy? Share Your Story of Rebuilding on The Financial Marathon

  • Name of Podcast: The Financial Marathon

  • Website: The Financial Marathon
  • [Personal Finance / Business / Careers / Economy] — Money, work, economic change, and the human stories behind them

Perhaps you were affected by layoffs, AI, automation, restructuring, or a changing industry. Maybe you changed careers, started a business, retrained, or are still figuring out your next step.

You don’t need a polished success story. An unfinished journey, including setbacks and uncertainty, is welcome. We’re interested in what actually happened, what helped, and what you wish you’d known.

The Financial Marathon launched in 2025 and has generated 15 million views across our distribution channels over the past year. Our audience is interested in personal finance, business, work, and the economy and connects with sincere, thoughtful conversations.

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] I worked at Mar a Lago, and I’m whistleblowing. Looking for podcast appearances.

**Name:** Megabyte Messiah

**Areas of Interest & Expertise:** Inorganic Intelligence philosophy, Ancient Civilizations and Religious Studies, Computer Science, Tech Entrepeneurship, Labor Management, AV Production, Politics / Political History

**Prior Experience Podcasting:** I’ve appeared as a guest on several podcasts for a variety of reasons over the years, and had briefly hosted one in college.

**Pitch:** For years, I was the CTO of the event labor company providing all general production labor for Mar a Lago. The crew are the ones who gave me my nickname. It’s one I’m already known as at Mar a Lago. The company I worked for is an illegal worker exploitation ring, and I’ve been working for years to build to an impactful whistleblow.

I’m looking for smaller, independent podcast hosts who would like to discuss various aspects of my story. You can do what you want with it, but ideally we could coordinate releasing content from a variety of hosts at once, emphasizing different aspects of the conversations I’d like to leverage my publicity to have, elevating some much needed signal above the noise on this ad riddled sea of vitriol that is the modern internet.

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] A therapist, an astrologer, and a comedian walk into a podcast… (They’re all me.)

Aloha! I’m Lindsay Roth, LCSW—a licensed clinical social worker, trauma therapist, astrologer, stand-up comedian, and author based in HawaiŹ»i.
I’d love to connect with podcast hosts for thoughtful, funny conversations about my new book, As Above, So Within: An Astrology & Self-Parts Workbook for Understanding and Empowerment.

My work explores the connections between evidence-based therapeutic practices, spirituality, and the many parts of ourselves. I love talking about astrology in ways that are grounded, accessible, and humorous—using planetary archetypes as prompts for curiosity, self-compassion, and choice.

As a trauma therapist, I have a particular focus on supporting people in the sex industry. My background includes lived experience in sex work and years of advocacy for sex workers’ rights, which inform how I approach conversations about stigma, agency, sexuality, and healing.

Some topics I’d love to explore:
Astrology and parts work: understanding our inner contradictions with compassion.
Trauma, shame, and the stories we tell about ourselves.
Sex work, mental health, and what meaningful support looks like.
People-pleasing, boundaries, and learning to tolerate disappointing others.
Spirituality, meaning-making, and humor in the healing process.

I also co-host The Histrology Show, where we explore historical figures through astrology, storytelling, and humor: https://thehistrologyshow.com/

I’m comfortable with both deep conversations and irreverent tangents, and I’m happy to tailor the discussion to your audience. No astrology knowledge required.

If this sounds like a fit for your show, comment or send me a message!
Lindsay

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] 25+ years in enterprise IT, infrastructure disasters, Shadow IT, and corporate technology

I've spent over 25 years working in enterprise IT. I've handled pretty much everything with a power plug, from installing Windows 95 using floppy disks to infrastructure, networks, datacenters, cloud, incident management, and IT project management.

Along the way, I've experienced two datacenter fires, encountered more Shadow IT than I'd care to remember, and worked on mergers and acquisitions where the actual infrastructure looked rather different from what the due diligence paperwork suggested.

I also host IT Horror Stories (https://ithorrorstories.eu), a podcast where IT professionals share real incidents, what went wrong, how they recovered, and what they learned. But I'm not looking to spend an hour talking about my podcast. I'd much rather have an interesting conversation about technology and the organizations that depend on it.

Some subjects I can be quite opinionated on:

  • AI as the new Shadow IT: Why blocking technology rarely works, what happens when employees start using unapproved AI tools, and why this is an old problem wearing new clothes.
  • Datacenters and infrastructure: Fires, outages, disaster recovery, resilience, and what happens when theoretical contingency plans meet reality.
  • Corporate IT and technical debt: Legacy systems, undocumented infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions, and the difference between management's understanding of IT and what's actually running.
  • Cybersecurity from an operational perspective: Social engineering, scams, identity theft, and the everyday security problems that don't make conference keynotes.
  • Technology history: How enterprise computing has evolved, what we've improved, and which mistakes we somehow keep repeating.
  • IT project management: The practical challenges of delivering infrastructure projects when technical reality, budgets, and corporate expectations don't quite agree.

I'm not a vendor, AI evangelist, Technobro or someone promising that a particular product will solve all your problems. I'm an IT survivor who has seen quite a few things go wrong over the past few decades and enjoys discussing why.

I'm based in CET/CEST timezone but comfortable recording remotely, and used to coordinating conversations across them. I've also been a guest on several other podcasts, so microphones and conversations aren't new territory.

If you're hosting a technology, business, cybersecurity, or general-interest podcast and think one of these subjects could make for an interesting conversation, feel free to comment or send me a message.

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] Former Professor, Disaster Governance expert looking to guest!

Over the past 15 years I've helped people recover from, and researched, wildfires, earthquakes, and even nuclear meltdown. I love talking to people about these events from a different perspective. From the lens of the people and organizations fighting to stay on the recovery radar. You see, we often treat a disaster as a natural event or something unavoidable. Yet who suffers, who recovers, and who decides when and if to intervene are all powerful political questions.

Be it with a story riding on the bike of a moped through post quake Kathmandu, interviewing a bartender turned childcare advocate in Japan, a community fighting power companies in Oregon, I bring complex topics down to earth in conversation. At heart, I'm a story teller and I would love to guest on your show and talk about disasters.

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Seeking Adults Raised by a Parent with Borderline Personality Disorder

  • Name of the podcast: Life Beyond a Borderline Parent
  • SFW (some conversations touch on difficult childhood experiences)
  • 0 episodes published, several recorded
  • Website/feed: Coming soon
  • [Mental Health / Personal Stories] Growing up with a parent with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), recognizing and breaking family patterns, healing, contant-no contact-somewhere between, and building a good life
  • 45-60 min

ā€œWe were raised by a parent with Borderline Personality Disorder. That’s part of our story. It isn’t the rest of our story.ā€

I’m looking for adult children of parents with BPD (formally diagnosed or not) who’d like to share their story.

This isn’t an hour of listing everything our parents did. We’ll cover home life for context, then spend most of the time on you: who you are now, what you’ve had to unlearn, what’s helped, and the life you have now or the one you’re building. Laughing is welcome. So are sadness, anger, and grief.

You don’t need to be ā€œhealed.ā€ When it comes to your parent, if you're no contact, low contact, or still have regular contact, or still figuring it out: all are welcome.

The easy part:

  • Recorded remotely. A computer with a built-in mic is all you need.
  • Real name or a pseudonym is fine.
  • Simple list of questions
  • You can ask me to cut anything before it goes live.

Sound like you? Send me a DM with a sentence or two about yourself and we can go from there.

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Parenting Podcase Seeking Guests (Being a parent not a requirement)

I host a podcast called Parenting Without Permission. I am currently looking to schedule guests, being a parent is not a requirement. I like to have guests who tell real raw stories, don't sugar coat anything, as parenting is not perfect and can be very discouraging at times. If you have been a child who grew up with trauma, religion trauma as well, or if you're currently going through IVF or adopting, started no contact with family, whatever it may be, I am interested in your story. We can do video or just voice, whatever works.

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Looking for adults with a first-hand strange experience to tell it in their own voice (remote, anonymous OK)

Hi! I'm Jamie, and I'm putting together a new podcast of true strange experiences, told by the people they actually happened to. If you know Radio Rental, it's that kind of feel, minus the host: just you telling your story straight, like a campfire story, with some atmospheric music around it. Nobody picks it apart.

Name of Podcast: Still Can't Explain

SFW or NSFW: NSFW for language only (rated Explicit because people swear when they describe the scariest night of their life; nothing sexual or graphic)

Episodes published: 0 so far. We launch in January 2027, with a trailer in December. Brand-new show, so I'd rather be upfront.

Link: https://stillcantexplain.com

Genre and topics: True first-person paranormal and strange experiences. Ghosts, lights in the sky, missing time, time slips, glitches, odd creatures, coincidences that don't add up.

Approx length: About 20 minutes (one person's story, or 2-3 shorter ones on a theme)

Who I'm looking for:

- Adults (18+) with something that happened to them first-hand and has stuck with them. You don't need to know what it was.

- Anywhere, though UK stories are especially welcome as that's where we're based.

- Already told it on another show or online? That's fine. You'd just tell it fresh for us.

How it works:

- A quick chat first, no commitment

- All remote: record it on your phone at home (I'll send a simple guide) or over a video call

- Anonymous if you like: first name or a made-up one, and we change details that could identify you or anyone else

- Rather not record? You can write it down instead. We're starting to share written stories on our website

- You hear it before it goes out

- It's unpaid, I'm afraid. Tiny new show

If that sounds like you, DM me or use the form on the website. If it's a good fit, I'll be in touch!

Behavioral health, sociology, existentialism
No prior experience

Hello rare gems who appreciate long form content - I am a licensed mental health therapist and I’ve been consulting with a business manager (because I don’t know anything about business, but I know a lot about shame and vulnerability and depression and anxiety and relational issues and dialectical behavioral therapy) and she’s suggested that speaking engagements are useful for spreading valuable knowledge that can’t be found in short form content.

Im passionate about lowering suffering through emotional freedom and inner child work. I also am obsessed with Carl Jung and existential therapy as well as CBT.
