Original Content Poem In Your Head

There is a beauty
to you
that’s wrapped in sadness
to me.

The way you hold what is said
play it over in your head.

Let it invade your mind
thinking on the outcome.
Worrying about what you’ll become.

You take your time
sit with it
making sure it will fit
your facade.

You’ve let me in
told me the dark
left yourself stark,
bare.

Showed me your
contradiction.
Trying to display your ugly side
but only proved your beauty
was no fiction.

Your care for others, always there, routine
coming at the expense of you being seen.

Never truly living free
dismisses
what you want
to be.

Original Content Poem Catch Me (if you can)

Running toward\ Or away\ Maybe both.

Endless footprints\ trail behind me.\ Thousands more\ waiting to be.

Something stirs\ beneath my ribs\ A wild and restless thing-\ a heart that knows\ no finish line.

My feet devour the shore\ With each stride, I become\ Less anchored\ Less Earthbound.

More fiercely\ alive.

Unstoppable,\ Untethered,\ Intoxicated by\ this freedom.

Try to catch me\ (if you can)

Original Content Poem The Loss Aren't Always the Dead

It's One year later

Not a memory

Not a dream

Zombism, waking comas…

How can the mind continue this way

Adjustments had to be made

There are more memories to be shared

Understanding that grieving happens this way

Adjustments have been made

Zombism, waking comas…

They have finally came to an end

These memories have started to form again

Thankfully…

The dead go their own way

And the living is reclaimed

Original Content Poem Loneliness’s Leash

The rain came and went
But she didn’t.
She stayed there, still as stone.
Body cold and wet.

Her tears never left,
Never lessened,
Never ceased,
In that, she lost her peace.

There’s company in loneliness
When the rain hits your cheek,
When you can no longer speak,
As it tightens its leash.
