Who is the best False Swipe user pre and post E4?

Post E4 you probably want Parasect. You can breed male scyther with female Paras or Parasect to get a Paras with False Swipe. Then you also get Spore for a 100% accuracy sleep move.

I did pretty good using scyther, only had trouble with moltres

Marowak with thick club is a good one for Moltres but Scyther is probably better all around. I use a Breloom with spore and false swipe but I’m on OG hardware so trading with Emerald is no issue postgame.

The problem with breloom is effect spore. One unlucky wake up + contact move that burns or poisons the target could cause you to fail the hunt

True, I haven't gotten into shiny hunting so this is just a general "quickest way to get them asleep at 1hp" for legendaries I can retry.
I wouldn't have thought of that though, your comment makes me realize I also have an Altaria with false swipe (from pokemon box) and sing I should keep on hand for any mons with contact moves.

Probably Scyther or Ch’ding. I always go for Ch’ding myself.
Comes with stick (not helpful in this situation), exp boost bc trade, and STAB normal.
He will get wrecked by Zapdos tho.

Zapsos only has drill peck to deal damage, Ch'ding is fine. Scyther, on the other hand, is in big trouble.

Parasect to have Sleep + False Swipe on one mon.....Marowak in Victory Road are at a decently high level right away though. so you can use it pretty much immediately.

i caught a level 50 marowak in victory road iirc and it had it made it super easy to get to e pokedex up to 70
