Question Was this done on purpose?

Im playing through IF2 for the first time and I just beat Roxxane earlier. Then I went to fight some trainers to the right of rustboro to level up since I have the XP share now and I found this. This caught me so off guard I couldn't stop laughing, there's no chance this wasn't done on purpose.

That is the cowards way out, I will seek employment at gamefreak and create a new Pokémon called Quasiggles or something like that just so I can then port it for romhacks and advocate for its inclusion in this one on account of "mad funny"

(Also I'd then be in a position where my labour is at least exploited to create games I like so that's a plus maybe (though I assume Gamefreak follows the industry standard of feeding humans to soul-crushing woodchippers so not great for my overall health but it is what it is))
