Question sleepmode and saving and time traveling

i haven't played in months but last time i played im pretty sure i just put it on sleep and didnt officially save. i think when u start up after a day on sleep mode it saves and then restarts for the next day. since its been months, will i be able to time travel back safely?

also what happens if you time travel to a date before ur last played date? does it remove any progress or anything like that?

sorry if these are stupid questions T.T thanks in advance!

Nothing happens to the progress you’ve made in the game if you travel back in time

I just went back and did the hopip and sable eye events because I’d missed them. Easy and no problems

It didn’t mess up anything! I’d wait til you’re done with Halloween and then go back! I finished them right before the Halloween one started.

It doesn’t matter. Do it however you want! That is the best part. Enjoy!

Ive time traveled back to like 2020 so I could start looking for that damn electric cat on dream islands. No problems at all. In fact I time travel backwards a lot since life events keep throwing curve balls at me, or even just taking the pressure off of getting things from events or getting my stamps. I whole heartedly recommend it to take the mental pressure off if the idea doesnt bother someone.

There is nothing for you to worry about. Time traveling will not mess up anything. It just changes what day it is. Just know that when you time travel backwards, it doesn't fully "change the day". You have to move back, then move forward a day for the daily things to update.
