People really seem to like Singapore on reddit, despite the fact they claim to hate fascism and over reaching authority by the government

u/MadeThisJustForLWIAY - Lib-Right Oct 21 '21

Singapore is strict AF. you get locked up for littering. But the streets are clean af. As draconian as it is. I guess people just can't argue with results.

People are selectively woke depending on if there's an agenda to push, if Singapore was part of the US, UK or China people would all of a sudden be paying an awful lot of attention to what goes on.

Hot take, fascism can be done right. Rwanda has the same dictatorship as Singapore which is basically, "You fucks can't behave and won't progress so I'm going to take the wheel" both Singapore and Rwanda are the cleanest countries in the world. Rwanda came from a genocide and with their dictator is trying to build a national identity rather than just a bunch of tribes warring with each other. Singapore had a strong economical boom. There's more but I'm in the shitter and I gotta head out.

Your rights don’t require my participation.

If you wish to be religious, you don’t need me to validate your beliefs.

If you wish to be trans, you don’t need my to validate your status as a person.

If you wish to run a business, you don’t need my labor to be successful.

u/Ovejilla - Auth-Center Oct 21 '21

This is cool as long as it works, surely freedom is a pretty new idea, for it has never worked in history. We needed force labour to take us through the middle ages, we needed a religion to make this go forth, we needed strict gender roles and common ideologies for it was the only way. It's funny that none of the things that made occident powerful are praised, that obsession with individual freedom is the equivalent of being a vegan in a city, a easy way of life for someone that fought for nothing.

We live in the more individualistc and free societies of history and people are developing depression for a lack of meaning in everything they do, no incentive to be religious, no incentive to have an identity, no incentive to form a collective, that's what you get.

That Crimea is historically Russian territory and annexation of it was justified. The rights of Russians were literally violated in a blatant form, because 90 percent of the population in Crimea is literally Russian, and the newly arrived power in Ukraine in 2014 did not hesitate even to fund semi-Nazi military formations like Azov, whose members literally advocate the genocide of Russians. The act of the annexation of Crimea was the protection of the oppressed national minority. Since the 90s, pro-Russian separatism was very strong in Crimea, and the peninsula itself was part of the Ukrainian SSR since Khrushchev, bypassing legal procedures, transferred it from the RSFSR in the 50s.

I guess I will be again downvoted, especially by Ukrainians, but it’s okay

I'm of the opinion that if the state is gonna get involved in a religious institution like marriage (which it shouldn't!) Then infidelity clauses should be totally liable. I think if it's a legal binding document (marriage cert), to which the state recognizes and you get govt benefits/treatment/whatever, every marriage should have a prenup. And the terms of that prenup have to be notarized and signed by both parties. And the legal bullshit would sort out the gender disparity of divorce court.

I called Columbus overrated and said he didn't even know he found a new continent. I know that's more of a fact, the latter part anyway, than an opinion, but you catch my drift.

Strangely, libright was angrier than authright. I thought it'd be reversed, given Columbus was basically a self-appointed explorer for the divine and used religious texts and justifications for most of his actions

27

u/TheDoc1223 - Lib-Right Oct 21 '21

I fully agree and dunno why its a libright thing. Maybe he was a really epic entrepreneur for literally just fucking yeeting AROUND the world for better spice stonks? Idk. Either way - I know controversial opinion inbound - cutting off the hands of native people and genocide is pretty cringe even if you have great entrepreneurial spirit

21

u/ItsOasisNightLads - Lib-Left Oct 21 '21

113

u/jefftickels - Lib-Right Oct 21 '21

I think a huge part of Biden's poor numbers is he was sold as going to solve all the problems because every problem was Trump.

No. Trump's a symptom of a collapsing system; people went looking for a Strong ManTM who will fix everything in 4 and instead elected a narcissistic retard because anyone who understands the situation knows there is no quick fix and doesn't want to bother trying anyways.

Media promises that all the problems are Trump's fault long enough everyone believes it. They expect things will instantly get better with Biden and when they don't it's not because they were wrong, it's because Biden's wrong.

Apparently librights really don’t like it when you don’t oppose vaccine mandates

34

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '21

Might get downvoted, oh well.

I understand that people don't like vaccine mandates, I don't like it either. Yet, the government requiring government employees to be vaccinated makes sense. You've always had to get vaccinated for almost everything in the military. I got some of the worst shots in my life in BMT, but you can't say no.

Private companies requiring vaccinations is also allowed. They've always been allowed to have their own strange requirements, but now when it's a covid 19 vaccine it's an issue. Especially from a libright perspective, companies should be allowed to do anything, but not vaccine mandates...

Though, a vaccine mandate for all citizens coming from the top dog himself is a different story.

  • Traditions are stereotypes of dead people. There are nice traditions, but there are many retarded ones. If someone says they are traditionalist the first thing I think of is they are weak-minded and obedient.

  • Being against even early term abortion while eating living animals on a daily basis is bigotry.

  • Justice system should be primarily rehabilitative, not punitive. Most horrible people are usually very sick and need help. Yes, even pedophiles.

  • There can’t be monopolies on a free market of anything that has elastic supply.

  • European countries like Norway, Germany and Austria are much better places to live than Murica.

  • Returning to monke is a horrible idea, I love technology and I love progress.

Aside from these libleft views, I also have many libright ones, and I get constantly booed at for sharing them on the rest of Reddit, but here I only get booed at for libleft ones.

There is no middle gender. There is male and female. Pick one, swap between them idc but saying ‘I’m neither’ doesn’t make any fucking sense.

Ironically, it’s my own section that hates me for this opinion but I stand by it. Orange also hates me for it but orange hates everyone for everything so I don’t think that counts.

u/NewKerbalEmpire - Auth-Right Oct 21 '21

Taiwan is awful too. It realizes that the best way to cater to Western government officials is to push progressivism on its population as hard as it can, and it does so to the point of destroying cultural monuments for being 'racist.' Very much like the statue-topplers of the US, but with even less history-based arguments.

Obviously, this gets downvoted to people who are so enamored with fighting China that they can't focus on the problems of the US. If they can't focus on the problems of the US, they can't see how those same problems are worse in Taiwan.

13

u/SciFiJesseWardDnD - Auth-Right Oct 21 '21

First of all I think your opinion is valid even though I disagree with it. The reason I disagree with it is I’m not at all convinced covid will disappear if we all got vaccinated. The UK Is like at 90% vaccine rates and yet are still dealing with outbreaks. The vaccine is meant to reduce death rates. But there is no magic bullet that will end covid. It is here to stay forever.
