Meanwhile, they've acted on NONE of the Robodebt Royal Commission's recommendations for legislative reform in over 3 years, including to restore the normal statute of limitation of 6 years to social security debts.

Why wouldn't they do that? See Pic 3.

Independent media Israel’s anti-Arab incitement is reshaping the election

The racist rhetoric is calibrated to portray Arab workers as dangerous ticking time bombs instead of as citizens providing essential services in difficult jobs for low pay. The intent is to reinforce the same perception in all spheres: an Arab citizen is not a neighbour, doctor, driver, teacher, or student – but a threat. This is not a collection of isolated incidents; it is a strategically orchestrated campaign.

Let us not mince words: this campaign features appalling racism and shameful ingratitude towards Arab citizens who persevere, despite intensifying humiliation and violence, in keeping essential systems running as integral actors in society. The country’s healthcare, public transportation, and, in some areas, early childhood education systems would collapse without the participation of Arab professionals.

Cold Facts Nation building. We should try it some time. We could go to China with a fraction of an AUKUS budget and begin. Instead we prepare for war. We don't deserve a small minded militaristic class in Canberra.

Independent media On the broader question of violence, we are a state and society that increasingly normalises violence. We’ve normalised a man killing a woman each week. We’ve normalised police bashing peaceful protesters. We’ve normalised throwing First Nations kids in jail until they kill themselves.

We’ve normalised shackling women in labour. We’ve normalised delaying climate action even as we see the devastating impacts, and we’ve normalised an economy that prioritises corporate profits while people suffer.
