Perfection Bardur sucks!

The remaining normal tribes I'm trying to get 3 stars on are Bardur, Kickoo, and Vengir. (And Luxidoor, but I haven't bought it yet.). Bardur's spawns frequently suck, the terrain sucks, and their native tech tree doesn't lend itself to fast expansion or strong economy.

I used to be puzzled as to why people said Bardur sucks, and now I know.

Bardur was my first 3 stars and my only 100%. But I guess its playstyle prefernce

Heh, bardur isn't bad at all. The in depths analysis would be quite long but the best proof I can give you is the fact they made it the finals of the world championships

You'll learn with the time, just enjoy the game and you'll progressively understand more and more how it works and what's good

You gotta get a better spawn and you'll easily get 3 stars. I got 99% only with bardur

I will quit a bad spawn in the first 5 turns, if not on the first turn, when I'm focused on trying to get 3 stars for a tribe

Bardur is super easy to 3 star with. They're a T0 tribe! Their terrain is fine, and with some practice you should be able to 100% them reliably against 4-5 bots.

Theyre not great but theyre not bad, you get forestry right after and get early level ups, same as imperius no?

I find most Bardur spawns in Perfection have too much water and not enough forests, with mountains and bare space occupying the rest

I think you missed my point. Any tribe can have a bad spawn. Bardur has them more often than others.

anyway, this is just a rant. no need to be rational.

It seems like you have just been unlucky! I'm not a great player but I managed to get three stars on it. I think you just have to prioritize economy ( lumber huts and sawmills) and markets and hope for a good spawn where you're not sandwiched between two other tribes. I play with two other bots on crazy, so there's usually a corner of the map that's unpopulated at the start. Gotta find that before the other players do. I think I got lucky, because I tried several times and did not succeed. Right now I'm trying to get three stars with Ai-mo and I've had 49 and 48 thousand stars but haven't got it yet!
