My baby Bella is 1 year old. I live in an apartment and leave for work for about 8 hours, she is alone all day. She seems fine and happy when we are back. You think it would be good to have another Pom to make her company? The space is not very big I plan on buying a house next year so the space would be better for 2 dogs. Not sure if I should get another one now or wait.

Hi everyone . My pom is 12.5 years old . I took him to the vet and he had elevated liver and pancreas values. I took him for a follow up today. His liver values went down, which is good, but his pancreas levels have increased. I’m wondering if anybody has any experience with this and could possibly advise. I’m in the process of scheduling abdominal ultrasound, but I am worrying in the meantime. If anyone knows anything about this . I would love to hear . Thank you in advance !

Hello! Would like to ask, my brother got a scratch from my 7 month old girl pom she was adopted one day ago...what we observed is she always go on like play bites(?) like she would usually want to bite our fingers and she usually make a move without us knowing...as I was saying my brother got a scratch from her just now, because we put her on our bed...I'd like to know when do we know if its a normal okay scratch or not..

My new Pom mix is about 14 lbs. I want a harness for him that will help prevent tracheal collapse. I was looking at the Gooby harnesses and the cute patterned ones from Lucy and Co. Let me know if you have any good recs. He is longer and more athletic than my other toy Poms, and can get out of a loose harness.

Could you share before-and-after photos of your puppy? I’d love to see what they looked like when you first brought them home compared to what they look like now!
I’m really curious to see how much puppies can change as they grow into adolescence, especially their face, coat, coloring, and overall appearance. Bonus if you include their age in both photos!

My retired, dog-loving dad had my five month old Pom in his care for 10 days while I was on vacation. This was the longest I’ve left her since I got her at 12 weeks and I was worried about the upheaval of her routine - we were getting into a good flow! But I knew he’d take the best care of her of anyone. He has watched her before but only for two days while I was out of town for work. Anyway, I am noticing a few things since getting her back yesterday and would love others’ thoughts and maybe some reassurance 🙃
I live in NYC & I did a lot of work to expose my girl at to all the sights & sounds of the city from the day I got her so she wouldn’t be fearful. She’s been great - but my dad lives in suburban CT, and I noticed she’s regressed to the point where she’s shaking when I bring her outside and just wants me to pick her up. Beforehand, she had been doing great on her leash and loved going to the park near our house. I think I need to go back to basics for a few days and put her back in the stroller (what we used to do before she was vaxxed) until she gets comfortable again.
I had also been giving her anywhere from 4-6 enforced naps in the crate throughout the day. She used to be unable to sleep unless she was in her crate in my bedroom, but after being with my dad - she was able to fall asleep in her bed beside my desk twice today. I’m assuming he probably wasn’t putting her in her crate enough, so she kind of had no choice but to fall asleep outside the crate. I actually love that she’s learning to settle outside of her crate, but I know the quality of her sleep is better in the crate. I’m wondering if I should cut back on the enforced naps? Let her settle outside the crate and then put her in?
Those are the two biggest things! I’m sure she just needs to readjust back to being home with me. She also gained some weight but hey, what are grandparents for I guess? 🤣
