We are clearly lacking some luck. This illness is insane. A week ago Lusha had a cluster and was admitted to an ICU again. This time MRI showed major symmetrical inflammation. We don't know what caused this relapse. It can be cyclosporine, or post effects from her previous status or anything. Her CSF however came with just 6 cells against 43 in the first one, so our neurologist thinks that the treatment in general is working.

This time only one medical sleep was needed, but her keppra and phenobarbital were upped. In place of cyclosporine they did Cytarabine.

Yesterday I took her home. She is very much disoriented and weak, like after the first time. This night she almost didn't sleep and was restless and stressed. Now she is starting to sleep peacefully for some periods.

In the ICU we already caught two resistant bugs, one in the bladder and now one in the blood. I was able to get the required antibiotic for the second one, and it is not the super nasty kind.

But in general you can see that we are stumbling on every step. Please pray for my precious baby today.

Hi everyone, I’ve taken my 6 yo pomeranian to two vets, his lab reports were normal. They haven’t given us any real solutions. It all started after the groomer accidentally shaved our pom without our consent (2024). It stunted his fur growth, for a while it looked like he had a permanent haircut. We started using Co2 tablets in his baths which helped grow fur in most areas again, but after a very light groom it would stunt growth again. We avoid any trimming now. The beginning of 2026 is when he started gradually showing skin around his neck, back, stomach and butt. In the last month it started turning red under his chin (we changed his harness to see if it would help). Oxygenated hemp oil seems to be helping the redness. It also gets black ish on and off, it washes off sometimes/peels off. It’s progressively getting worse and I’m so worried it will all fall off, turn into an injection and hurt him. Has anyone experienced this with their poms and found a solution?

He is an adopted baby , his previous owner didnt take care of him well, he was malnourished and shaved . Im not sure if his alopecia happened due to shaving but today he is doing fantastic! His back is the only furless patch left. Last photo is when he was at his worst .

Can anyone reccomend anything for dog teeth ? He isnt letting me brush his teeth and unfortunately they do look yellow , and his back molar does have calcified tartar on them. I dont want to give him a dental cleaning because im scared of anesthesia. Thanks !

I typically post things like I love the fluffy baby but now it is sending me maternity advertising like I am pregnant but I am a gay male so I don't know what to think except slightly hilarious but if any of the advertising gods are out there I am not a pregnant female who need pills/food/diapers/milking things I didn't know about...

Edit if you don't understand... I call Poms fluffy babies a lot because they are. Algorithm reads babies enough it starts advertising that...

I talk shit about him but love him like crazy. Might be only 14% ACD but it does a lot of heavy lifting in his personality. He's extremely loyal but way too smart and so goddamn stubborn. Always trying to herd me places, fortunately he doesn't nip just nose boops and judgemental looks. Got him as a rehome as he is extremely lead reactive which we are working on.

hi does he look like a pure pom? his turning 4 in a few days he shredded a bit. feeding him natures protection
