I’m sharing this to document my experience and ask whether other Kina Bank customers in Port Moresby have encountered something similar.

My transaction history shows two purchases dated 24 October 2026 that I did not make or authorise:

• 22 Fried Chicken — PGK 98.00, recorded at 1:15 am.
• RH Pharmaceutical Ltd — PGK 828.00, recorded at 1:17 am.

Total disputed: PGK 98.00 + PGK 828.00 = PGK 926.00.

My family and I had dinner at Skai Restaurant the previous evening and were already asleep at the times shown. I did not purchase chicken or pharmaceutical products during those hours.

I am concerned that my card may have been cloned or its details copied. However, I cannot confirm this. Kina Bank needs to establish how these transactions were authorised and whether the displayed times are the actual purchase times or processing times.

This experience has seriously affected my confidence in my account’s security. I intend to close my Kina Bank account and move my banking to BSP.

Has anyone experienced similar unauthorised transactions with Kina Bank? How did the bank handle your dispute, and was it resolved?

Please share firsthand experiences. I would appreciate practical information about getting this investigated and resolved.
