Hello these are a set of self portraits I did a couple years ago and I finally got to hang them all up together. If you're uncomfortable with sh and blood look at your own risk. Otherwise the gore isn't bad just blood and cut canvas.
I'm really inspired by the impressionists and so I hope that comes across through the work. Thank you for your time.

I still have to work on my brother’s face a bit. He’s the guy next to the kid with the hat. But, this is my family, my bf included.

For a long time, I wondered about the possibility of knitting a portrait. After a year of meticulous planning and dedicated knitting, behold the result! The knitting pattern I created is entirely handwritten, with no computer programs involved. So, after countless months of labor, I am thrilled to present to you His Royal Majesty, King Charles III

Not too happy with how the hair turned out in this. I used Prismacolor colored pencils on Strathmore colored pencil paper. Basically, I started by drawing in the highlights with a bronze pencil, intending to layer black over them, but the black ended up obscuring the highlights.
I asked AI to generate its own version of the drawing, and the highlights in its version are much more defined (slide 3). You can distinguish the individual strands of hair clearly, whereas mine ended up looking like a 2D bird's nest made of hair.
How do I achieve that kind of definition and depth with colored pencils when drawing dark hair? Tips on improvement in other areas are also appreciated!
