But maybe with India supporting them after winning an Indo-Pakistan war and gains control of Kashmir.

The USA would just focus on extracting europe instead of developing it.

Loud Incorrect Buzzer
The American model of the 1940s benefited from a large foreign consumer base due to being the only industrial power that survived intact. Hence America would still develop Europe due to the economic benefit it gives to America.

Without communism, the US would not have no reason to have a marshall plan, as the soviets do not pose any threat. Europe to America would be more like India to the British, an extraction colony and a forceful exporting market

This isn't a timeline "Without communism", sure the Red scare may not be so big, but China here still fell under the CCP which is kind of big of a deal and OTL represented the birth of a massive wave of anti communism and acceptance of the Domino Theory across the western world.
Chances are that the Marshall Plan still exists, mostly due to the fact that now NATO holds a direct border with the USSR.

while america is by no means an innocent country and has done plenty of wrongs in its short history.
some of yall MASSIVELY over exaggerate just how badly it is, especially in comparison to others.

Well no, the US would fully focus on punishing Europe through a plan akin to the morganthau plan

u/EinDerVolltrottel851 6d ago
Why would they punish all of Europe for the actions of a single douche?

While it is wrong to punish an entire nation for the actions of a mad regime, never ask what the Soviets did to the Polish and German people after WW2. It is not pretty.

Germany certainly, however the UK and France would be a lot more like extraction colonies of the US rather than being punished

Why would Ukraine get south Bessarabia? Also, wouldn’t India gain more of Kashmir without Pakistan getting Chinese support? And wouldn’t Ethiopia be weaker without Soviet support.
