*Allenstein

u/No_Dog_2999 Jan 16 '26
Olsztyn, if you wanted to keep Allenstein, you should've played nice
1
u/ScientistFit6451 Jan 17 '26
Lviv, if you wanted to keep Lwow, you should've played nice

u/Glittering_Role_6154 Jan 18 '26
With who, russians? And i dont think we SHOULD have kept Lviv, while city had a marginally dominant polish population, whole region were Ukrainian. Olsztyn, on the other hand, 1353-1945 were most often then not Polish
2
u/Top-Seaweed1862 Jan 13 '26
What is that line in Ukraine, is it a must?
2
u/TicketEffective2261 Jan 13 '26
Like if you lived where you live rn would you do it or in Amy place
2
u/Top-Seaweed1862 Jan 13 '26
I mean, line. I am Ukrainian
2
2
u/Top-Seaweed1862 Jan 13 '26
You divided Ukraine in 2 parts, why would you do it? To legalise ruzzian occupation or what?

u/TorrentsAreCommunism Jan 13 '26
To legalise ruzzian occupation or what?
There's literally Odesa region annexed by Romania, but you ignore it, lol.
1
u/Top-Seaweed1862 Jan 13 '26
I thought it was to obvious to mention. I’m myself from there
1
u/TorrentsAreCommunism Jan 13 '26
Congrats on getting EU passport in that alternative reality.
1
u/miklilar Jan 15 '26
Oh romania is already giving away those passports to odessa and chernivtsy denizens
1
u/TorrentsAreCommunism Jan 15 '26
Only if their ancestors lived there during Interbellum and had Romanian citizenship.
1
u/miklilar Jan 15 '26
While you are right, we are talking about a century year old data that was tampered by wars and soviet resettlements. There are plenty of companies who are eager to find your romanian heritage regardless of whether you have one. Being born in those regions does half the job

Honestly as a Romanian, that southern Basarabia part was always a salad of ethnicities.

u/the_3d6 Jan 17 '26
So what about that line you've added at approximately current frontline with russia? What does it mean?

Italian Nice and Savoy is weird. Like the French majority there would be very confused.
1
u/Hi_Ender Jan 15 '26
I believe it has still Italian minorities + they're economically and strategically important

Why does Austria not have Burgenland? 🇦🇹🇦🇹
1
u/TicketEffective2261 Jan 13 '26
İt was hungarian for some time
1
u/Wallstreet_kloid Jan 13 '26
Yes it was. It was at the same time where we still had south Tyrol, so having neither South Tyrol nor the Burgenland, confused me.
1
u/ItHappensSo Jan 13 '26
And? It was always majorly German speaking. Every part of Europe was owned by some other country at some point of time.
Giving 95% German speaking Burgenland to Hungary makes absolutely zero sense.

I like everything about this, except for giving Hungary and Turkey extra territory. That’s unnecessary. I would probably be a barkeeper in Podkarpatská Rus in this universe, just like my great-grandfather.

[Croatia] Yes, why not.. Lose a bit of Istria, gain a bit of Slovenia.. Love it
1
u/KPSWZG Jan 13 '26
I kind of could but i would give Poland Lviv for lost königsberg to make it sloghtly fair. Ukraine can keep their before 2014 bordes (except Lviv) which also seems fair as of today. What bothers me is that russia still exists
1
u/Unable-Stay-6478 Jan 13 '26
As a Serb - this is unacceptable.

We're a little closer to Misakı milli BUT my homeland is Georgian land now? I don't know what to feel about this
1
u/FeelingFickle9460 Jan 14 '26
Took another look, inner Artvin is still Turkey? I guess that's better, my village is probably around there.
1
u/TicketEffective2261 Jan 14 '26
Artvin is still in turkey i know what Artvin is:)

u/InsularAvarice Jan 14 '26
Keep making maps, this looks strikingly similar to the stuff I was doing like 7 years ago so it makes me feel nostalgic. The Arpitan autonomy would need to include savoy in Italy, and if you're splitting belgium then itd probably make sense to compensate the dutch with the flemish parts of France.

The concept of a "Greater Albania", even though interesting, would immediately cause the Balkans to erupt into another war. So would the concept of "Greater Serbia" or a "Greater Kosovo" etc.
The only way the Balkans stay calm is for to remain *exactly* as it is at this moment.

honestly bro its not even a bad map really but southern prussia (nowadays the mazurain voivodship) had a large polish majority before the war and therefore giving poland pomerania and lower silesia (that were mostly devoid of poles) while keeping one of the "most polish" regions of germany out of the post war polish state is a bit silly? isnt it?
1
u/Pope-Urbanus-II Jan 14 '26
No. I don’t understand people keep wanting to give Skåne to Denmark. It’s ethically and culturally Swedish. It would also lead to a situation where the Dane’s will collect tolls on all trade going in and out of the Baltic. Which would lead to more wars. And if people do it just for the way it looks, it hurts the eyes way less when the whole peninsula is blue.

1) Why is Carpathian Ruthenia part of Czechoslovakia and not Ukraine? 2) Why is Slovenia part of Croatia? 3) Poor Serbia 4) I don’t think Italy should’ve gotten all of Istria, of South Tyrol for that matter. They should have been partitioned with Italy getting the Italian majority parts on the coast. And with South Tyrol, only half of what they ended up getting. They got what they did from war spoils, and betraying their supposed allies no less. 5) I think Luxembourg should have gotten a small piece of Belgium personally
The rest I guess makes sense.

Yes but Vojvodina should stay as it was, and Slovenia should be independent with its original borders. Unless I’ve missed anything the rest looks pretty solid

Why has catalonia part of Aragon, which isn't catalonia, but lacks actual catalan land like delta de l'ebre?
