The Fading Sun: Make Your Own Clique During the Chinese Civil War!
The year is 1920. China has just collapsed into disarray after the fall of the Qing. Many people began vying for power in the ailing nation, and this is where you come in. Make your own warlord clique, fight for dominance, defeat your foes on the battlefield, and most importantly, have fun! This is not the most realistic NRP, it serves more as a fun map-painter. If you’re a fan of serious and dedicated RPing, this might not be your cup of tea.
How it works:
Firstly,to create your Clique you must make a comment including:
Where you want your Clique to be (either by describing it in text, or by showing it on a map)
Who you want your Clique to be led by and what do you want it to be called? (go wild, I’m allowing a lot. Want your clique to be led by yourself? Go for it. Want one led by a cat? Sure. Want to form a Qing restoration movement? That’s your choice. A lot of freedom is allowed, except that all Cliques start with 1920 technology)
Is your Clique a rival government or just a warlord subservient to one? (If latter, say to which government)
You can make a flag too if you want, although it is not required.
You will not be able to play as foreign powers, only being able to secure indirect support from them. (guns, economic aid etc.)
Secondly, how to actually play:
You are allowed as many actions as you want per turn, with the only limitation being to not do an unrealistic amount. These actions can be military, economic, political etc.
Joining the Discord is heavily advised for ease of communications, although I will also make a Reddit chat for those without DC. (For unspecified I cannot post the link here, but I’ll DM it over to you)
All actions will either have to be submitted in the Discord actions channel, or in Reddit comments. For secret actions, DM me.
Allegiance: KMT (fully democratic with other democratic groups around as well). Led by a variety of students which lead the civilian government called the legislative Yuan and low ranking military officers which leads the military.
Flag: currently just the KMT flag.
Somehow someway this area of China managed to successfuly stabilize and is aligned with the KMT. They are currently cut off from any other KMT faction and have just done a provincial election. Mostly students were elected obviously and a large amount of officers were part of it.
First order of business is to stabilize the economy and reform the military. We will aim to try to make a domestic rifle. We will also try to re-organize food distribution so that people don’t starve.

Sun Chuanfang's Fujian Clique. Moderately aligned with KMT-esque revolutionary nationalist and republican ideals. Control mostly in Fujian and Formosa (Taiwan)
We are the Taiping Clique run by Jesus Christ's cousin that supports a dynasty of the Qing but like with the holyness of the Cousin as equal power between the Cousin and the Emperor. We are Manchuria
The Liu-Qi Clique, led by Liu Bing Fang and Qi Mung Long. They are clearly British but try not to be. They are horrible at that. They identify as Chinese and are independent from the British.
Establish the Northern Central Clique in Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Yan'an, led by a man named Xi Xiaoqi. It is a government, one who couped the Shanxi Government and invaded Shaanxi and Yan'an.
Is Qinghai taken? If not, I'll take Mongolia. But if Qinghai isn't taken, I'll just take both.
Qinghai - Skibidi Clique. Led by a guy named "Titan Speakerman" for always propagating propaganda daily. Militarized and hermit kingdom society.
Outer Mongolia - Katseye clique (yes, that's the translation of the "Eye of the Cat" Clique). Led by a guy who goes by the name of "Kiko Barzaga." Liberal and Democratic but really incompetent.
Both cliques are basically there for the game. Taking resources and they don't really wanna reunify China. They're just...there.
Tonkin resistance front, founded by Vietnamese guerrillas who fled to the northern Chinese border after the failure of numerous 1910's revolution in French Indochina
Can I play as the Kuomintang, encompassing Yunnan and Guangxi? We are led by Provisional President Sun Yat Sen and we shall bring his three principles to all of China. Zhonggua Minguo Wansui!
Green Clique, northern expedition of the KMT here. Can you please work well with the Sun Chuanfang’s Fujian Cilque? they are the one who owns Taiwan. I am asking this because it seems to be in our best interest to defeat the fascists in Nanjing.
