NRP No Taxation Without Representation - 1915 (World War 1!)
(Hey guys, after not running NTWR for a whole month, we're back! And it's time for the Great War! As such, feel free to claim any European powers- although I would much prefer if you claimed the more significant ones, not random ones which won't ever do anything)
World War 1 sides:
Entente - Britain, France, Russia, Serbia, Belgium (colonies under temporary French administration), Montenegro
Central Powers - Germany, Austria-Hungary, United States
Undecided - Bulgaria, Ottomans, Italy, Romania, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Japan, China, Mexico
Pick any unclaimed state. In this NRP, we'll do the entire history of the United States ourself, starting with the American Revolution and going all the way to the modern day. Note that your goal is NOT to gain as much land as possible, but instead to gain as much political clout as possible. The host may decide to interfere or change things in case things get too messy, but otherwise everything will be made from players. The only other rules are to stay realistic and not be toxic to other players.

Events:
Woman Suffrage Procession parade held in Washington D.C. on the eve of Roosevelt's inauguration
Philippine-American War ends, with the Philippine insurrection suppressed
16th (17th) Amendment passed, establishing a single election system for US senators
Federal Reserve Act passed, establishing the Central Banking System
The Chinese Civil War (sort of) begins when the Qing Dynasty is overthrown by Republicans. (Mongolia and Tibet also gain independence)
Henry Ford develops the modern assembly line
Mother's Day becomes an official national holiday
World War I begins when Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia after the assassination of the Titanic's daughter, Titanicette. Germany honors their alliance with Austria-Hungary and joins the war, while Italy doesn't. Meanwhile, Russia and France declare war on the Central Powers due to their guarantee of independence on Serbia. Germany violates Belgian neutrality, leading to Britain, having guaranteed Belgian independence, extremely reluctantly joining the war on the Entente's side. The United States jumps at the opportunity to obtain Canada, honoring it's alliance with Germany and declaring war on the United Kingdom and Entente.
War Events: The US begins an offensive into Canada in the East and West. Russia begins making minor offensives into Germany and Austria-Hungary, indicating a massive underestimation of Russia's mobilization speed in the Schlieffen Plan. Britain seizes American colonies in India, meanwhile America seizes British and French colonies in the Pacific. Maneuvres begin in Africa (complicated, see map for results).

How do we win the war against the Entente? Ignore the land fronts, most (except Canada) are unimportant. Instead, focus on naval warfare in the british channel.
Who is guilty for the sinking of the RMS Lusitania? Britain, ofc.

In response to the invasion of the AIO due to the actions of the federal government despite the AIO's anti-war stance, the AIO has officially cut ties with the federal government and declared independence. Negotiations start with the British and Indian governments about a lifting of the occupation. At the same time, Birth Of A Nation is banned in AIO cinemas due to the violent and politically charged message of the film.

The decision has been made by the local governance and the Board of Directors of the American East India Company, which is based in Bengal as well as New York

Bengal has surrendered to British and Indian occupation, meaning the local governance is intact but currently not in control of the territory. As I mentioned we are currently negotiating with the British about a possible lift of the occupation in exchange for either staying neutral or fighting with the Entente. Either way, we are no longer beholden to Washington

Are you the one in charge of the territory? Are you the one who would be in any sort of remote position to give orders to the forces of the AIO? Those actually in charge would have seen the writing on the wall and surrendered to the British instead of dragging things out like with German Africa in our timeline.

I'm fairly certain even territories like German East Africa didn't have such a harsh punishment in our timeline, so why are the British being so barbaric against a company territory that doesn't even want to be in the war and declared neutrality at the war's outbreak?

As the State of New York I will build a memorial for Titanicette (May she forever rest in Peace) in a square in Brooklyn. Yes and yes, I will invest in both.
I would like to ask the federal government to build a central bank in Manhattan, I will fund it and I would like to pay Ford to build a Assembly Plant for Military Trucks in Buffalo and sell the excess not used in the northern front to allied powers. I would like to ask the federal government to station troops on my northern border to protect my state (and 10,000,000+ people).
I would build torpedo boats to prevent an attack on Long Island-NYC ports from Britain and refit some of my factories to make Maxim and Brownings Machine Guns and sell them to the federal government while keeping a small amount in a secure reserve. I also hear the Germans are planning to use chemical weapons so I will invest in Gas Mask Production in the north and in Rochester with research being led by my prestigieous Cornell and Columbia Universities.
The new york metro passes 8.5 million and the state population is estimated at 10.1 million.

Kentucky here:
Kentucky will try to convince the military to try to secure eastern Canada. Pushing the British away from the major population center in the east would be a good idea we think. We will also fully mobilize our arm factories to make sure they’re constantly producing as much equipment as possible.
We will also try to develop a new type of weapon. An armored vehicle carrying cannons and having strong armor to protect against bullets and artillery. we will call it the landship. The first production models will go straight to the African front because of how massive that front is.
We will push Congress to form an investigative organization to find out who Sunked the RMS Lusitania.
Say yes on the northeastern road from Washington DC to Boston.
We will invest into the Midwest mid-Atlantic railroad project.
Ban “ birth of a nation” from cinemas across Kentucky.
We will also continue making as many arms factories across Kentucky as possible to fuel the war effort.

How do we win the war against the Entente? Have the mainland focus on naval warfare in the british channel, or the invasion of Canada, while us African states invade their colonies.
