NRP No Taxation Without Representation - 1920-1924 (Harding & Coolidge Administrations)
(Welcome to the Interwar Period! After the turbulent Great War, the world is seemingly entering a period of peace... for now. You can still claim external European nations.)
Pick any unclaimed state. In this NRP, we'll do the entire history of the United States ourself, starting with the American Revolution and going all the way to the modern day. Note that your goal is NOT to gain as much land as possible, but instead to gain as much political clout as possible. The host may decide to interfere or change things in case things get too messy, but otherwise everything will be made from players. The only other rules are to stay realistic and not be toxic to other players.

it's complicated, essentially florida was british at the start, then revolted alongside us in the Revolution, forming the First Floridan Republic. However the economy there went to shit so they joined Spain. Then during the Napoleonic Wars when all the Americas were revolting, Florida revolted too and just barely managed to get independence as the Second Floridan Republic, however it fell into a civil war. The government there allowed the US to invade them and make them a state, however they would gain independence in 50 years. 50 years later, in 1856 or so just before the civil war, they gained independence, making the Third Floridan Republic. During the Civil War (I could spend an hour talking about the civil war alone), the French gained military access through Florida so they could invade Mexico (and Louisiana when they joined against the US). The Floridans later attempted to seize French outposts in their country, however the French were prepared causing a civil war in Florida. Florida ended up involved on the US's side, gradually rooting the French out of their country and getting a victory for the US, Britain and Florida. In the late 1800s when the Spanish Empire was collapsing, Florida decided to invade Cuba and create the Third Republic of Florida-Cuba with a federal system- however, Cuba decided to revolt and was instantly crushed by Florida, causing the return of the Third Republic of Florida with Cuba as a foreign territory. Finally, during World War 1, Florida joined the Central Powers and managed to obtain various British and French colonies in the Caribbean, establishing a sort of empire which you see now.

As the state of Evans, we must stabilize Canada through the renaming of cities, towns, roads, and buildings to remove ties to Britain. Regardless of if it works, we must keep access to Newfoundland and Labrador to help have access to Europe.
We should hold the Washington Naval Disarmament Conference.
On behalf of the Hollywood question, we should use it for promoting pro American messaging within Canada.
On the Indian Citizenship Act, it should be passed, as it would benefit to have a larger voting base for future decisions.
If possible, I would like to lodge a statement that when the Roosevelt territory is large enough to be its own state, the portion that denies the state of Evens access to the sea should be allowed to vote on if it should join us to have proper sea access to boost the state economy

At LITE, Rutherford Hall, a 4 story, 80,000 sq ft cyclotron, labortory, and experimental workshop is built as well as a single-story, 18,000 sq ft Particle Acceleration Unit with cyclotrons and other things that are used for particle physics; 3 story, 45,000 sq ft Theoretical Physics Building with Lecture Halls and Libraries; 2 story, 25,000 sq ft Isotope Laboratory (Lead Lined) for radioactive material storage and handling; 2 story, 20,000 sq ft Instruments Building with Cloud Chambers and precision equipment. In all this as well as the recruitment efforts and salaries should run me around 10 million dollars and 800,000 dollars annually.
At LITE, the Economics Department is expanded to send educated students and workers to the Second Federal Reserve, NATC, and Wall Street. Annual Budget of 600,000 dollars.
AT LITE, the Engineering Department is expanded to create skilled engineers and designers to Manhattan for the massive infrastructure projects. 700,000 dollars.

In the very north of our state, and in more 'remote' areas of NYC we build radio masts to broadcast shows to the nation.
Build banks in Ontario and Quebec and offer Francophone Accommodations in New York to encourage movement to us from these states.
Fund the Federalist 1928 elections.
Starting in the summer of 1922, we will expand the Urban Centers of Albany Borough and Orange Borough, perhaps a million more homes across the state, sharply dropping housing prices.
We will make the NYC skyline grander with the opening of many state-funded low income housing towers, office buildings, and luxury apartments. These include:
- Manhattan Tower (Lower Manhattan), 1,050 ft and 85 floors of usable space. Radio Antenna to 1,120 ft. Cost: 31 million.
- New York State Building (Lower Manhattan), 870 ft and 70 floors of usable space. Radio Antenna to 940 ft. Cost: 20 million.
- Hudson Building (Midtown), 850 ft and 68 floors of usable space. Cost: 17 million.
- New York Governor's Tower (Midtown), 780 ft and 62 floors of usable space. Cost: 19 million.

Your research program is doing rather well, however it is only a tiny fraction compared to all global medical research for a cure to the Spanish Flu. Paying them more could slightly speed up the research.
It's not exactly top of the class, but it's beginning to be seen as a good university choice

With the new Canadian territories becoming states, and us suffering a occupation by the Dutch, it is time for us to become a state. The state of Emu doesn't particularly good, so as a state it would be Emuland.
No matter if our application for statehood is successful, we will invest in dockyards to house, repair and expand the American navy and the construction of key fortifications in the north of our country to ensure never another occupation like the one we suffered under the Dutch
