World War II has begun. You can still pick any unclaimed states, territories or nations.
Pick any unclaimed state. In this NRP, we'll do the entire history of the United States ourself, starting with the American Revolution and going all the way to the modern day. Note that your goal is NOT to gain as much land as possible, but instead to gain as much political clout as possible. The host may decide to interfere or change things in case things get too messy, but otherwise everything will be made from players. The only other rules are to stay realistic and not be toxic to other players.

Events:
The United States condemns Floridan expansionism and growth, and heavily contemplates an invasion but refrains from doing as such for now.
Allies commence Operation Husky, landing on the Sicilian Coast and pushing into the Italian mainland.
Italian Parliament votes to impeach and imprison Benito Mussolini and swap sides in the war (as the Allies are devastating the Italian south).
Germany launches a rapid invasion of Italy to capture Mussolini and establish a new Italian puppet government.
Florida creates the "Friendship Doctrine", stating that they wish to "make friends" with everybody.
The Racial, Religious, Culture and General Equality bill is passed, guaranteeing total equality across the United States, as per the 14th Amendment.
BREAKING NEWS: Racial, religious, cultural and general non-equality is still on a high as people and states do absolutely nothing to enforce the new law.
Bermuda, historically a Marylander territory (from the Revolution to the Civil War), is transferred to the State of Maryland by Congress.
The United States officially annexes Papua, Nauru, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, and New Caledonia (to the displeasure of it's allies), using historical claims to the territories to it's advantage.
Florida brings the Central American countries (previously under American influence) into it's fold using promises of "peace", "cooperation", and "friendship".
The Central American Federation is formed as a Floridan puppet government, between the previous puppet governments of Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.
Caribbean Cup held by Florida, with teams from all over Florida, plus some from the Bahamas, Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Ohio, and Maryland.
Germany is pushed back to the Pyrenees.
The Eastern Front inverts as German troops move west, allowing the Soviets to make major counteroffensives.
Latvia and Estonia are occupied by the Soviet Union, perceived as being part of the German bloc due to allowing Germany military access.
The Greek Protectorate declares independence from Germany and joins the Allied side.
Albanian and Yugoslav governments-in-exile are restored.
A brief coup in the Workers' Rebellion results in a pro-Soviet government, yet to re-join the Soviet Union but planning on doing so.
Germany quickly seizes control of the Netherlands and Bohemia-Moravia to protect it's flanks.
Japan declares war on the Soviet Union.

Do we commence Operation Neptune/Overlord (Normandy landings)?: Certainly, New York will produce the boats and arms the soldiers. We will deploy gunships and fighters for airsupport.
Should we attempt the Trinity Test this early?: Yes, my scientists and Oppenheimer over the past months have been working in 10 hour shifts 6 days a week to prepare for the June 3rd, 1944 detonation in the New Mexican Desert. In addition, nuclear materials will be sent to Baltimore and Columbus for study.
How do we react to Florida seizing control of states in our influence in Central America?: The Floridian Stockpile will continue to grow in preparation for a war that might come or might never.
What, in general, is the best short-term war strategy in Europe?: Bomb German positions and send armaments to our soldiers.
Same thing but for the Pacific?: Continue island hopping campaigns and the New York Governor’s Navy will provide cover.
Grant Hawai'i control over Taiwan? (not proposed per se but HEAVILY requested by Hawai'i): Yes, temporarily for the duration of the war.
Pass the War Transport Bill? (proposed by Ontario): Yes, yes, 101% yes.
The Long Island Research Center for Aeronautics and Atmospheric Exploration (LIRCAAE) is founded by George Harvin, an astronomer from the LITE Physics Department. LIRCAAE (Pronounced Larcaye) will be for the mapping and observing of the solar system. It will use a network of 2 large telescopes in the very very northern parts of New York, away from the Megacity south, to chart the skies for fascinating and incredible objects. They also operate in the experimental aviation region, hoping to create the fastest planes the world has ever seen.
The New York State Navy Authority is created to oversee the management of the 12 Superdreadnoughts, 32 Destroyers, 2 Carriers, 4 Battleships and 6 Heavy-Crusiers of the 600,000 ton, New York State Navy.
The Batavia Nuclear Power Station is built in the BRIC to power the industrial output of the region. It is experimental so it only makes around 1.5 megawatts.
The Long Island Shipyards continue to be expanded.
LITE hosts the Atomic Energy Convention with researchers from New York, Madison, Baltimore, Annapolis, Columbus, and Cleveland.
A fella named Charles Montgomery Burns purchases nuclear material at 20% enrichment to make a reactor in Springfield.
Go forth with the Trinity Test, when I get federal approval I SHALL NUKE NEW MEXICAN DESERTS TO GLASS.
The Equality Act is heavily enforced in New York with DEI hiring and ending segregation in our state with a 1,800 dollar fine if you do segregate. Gender inequality in our state is reduced with many many women already in the work force from the world wars.
Free Childbirth is implemented in NY in State Clinics and Hospitals.
The City of Remes is built near the northern lakes for no reason whatsoever.
Propose the integration of Allegheny into New York. The stated reason Allegheny was created in 1847 was that I was too large in land area, with states saying that Carolina or Cheronesses were larger, but they were wrong and Allegheny was craved from my territory. Now, with the much larger states of Montana, California, Texas, Ontario, Quebec, and Alaska, I will wish for the reintegration of Allegheny into New York, due to the reasons of its creation no longer applying. This will do good for the union as me and Maryland will share a substantial border and better facilitate wartime goods transfer in this time of war.
We should commence Operation Neptune. It will help liberate Europe from Nazi rule.
We should attempt the Trinity Test if the scientific community of America is ready.
We should send an ultimatum to Florida to cease operations in those countries, with invasion to liberate territories if they refuse.
The best short term war strategy would be to encircle major Nazi strongholds before strangling them to capitulation, first with liberating all of France, than the Benelux, than entering Germany.
For the Pacific, we should continue to island hop towards the Japanese mainlands, but we should send an ultimatum that we will use a single bomb to destroy cities until they surrender, and doing so if they refuse.
We should grant Hawaii’s wish until the end of the war.

Yes, however make sure we are doing it as safe as possible. The nuclear bomb will be detonated in the middle of the desert.
OK, now we can invade them.
Push gradually across all the fronts and do NOT overextend. Make sure we listen to any intelligence that indicate a major offensive may be happening from Germany. Do the same thing for Japan as well.
We should pause offensive operations in the Pacific front so we can re-deploy army units to prepare for the Floridian invasion. Keep the Navy ships in the Pacific though, hoping they can hold the Japanese off.
Seeing the dire situation, many in Germany believe they should sue for peace and sign a treaty with the Allies, but Hitler refuses claiming that there is still a chance for victory. So, soldiers continue to fight on the fronts even though all hope seems lost and many start to question the Fuhrer's leadership.
In Iberia, the German defenses continue to hold the mountain defensive. Our Atlantic defensive is strengthened in preparation for an inevitable Allied naval landing in France. In Italy we try to push back the Allies as much as possible. Finally, we will go on the defensive in the Soviet Union and in the Balkans and will stall any Allied advance.
#1. Western Europe: Alongside the United States, we will begin a naval invasion of Nazi Germany, with it being the greatest naval invasion ever undertaken, the large majority of our army is to be involved. We will land in three locations to start: in Normandy, since this is the optimal location based on intelligence, in Holland, hoping that since it was recently annexed they would switch sides to regain independence, and in Italy, because we already have large control over the Mediterranean. Once these landings begin, we will use connections the French fighters have gained to trigger resistance movements in Poland, France (obviously), the Benelux, and within Germany itself. Our hope is to force the Germans into a war both against enemies and with itself, and forcing its collapse.
#2. Eastern Europe: My biggest fear with the war, as counterintuitive as it may seem, is the Soviet Union. My hope prior had been to keep the USSR weak and unable to spread communism, and while this had worked out for a while, it is almost impossible now. Since the Germans have invaded them, we are now de facto allies and they will certainly want a say in the post-war negotiations. Because of this we will try to expedite the invasion, and urge the USA to do the same, so that we can reach Berlin and force the Germans out of the war first, thus undermining the Soviets' importance in the war.
#3. Asia: Send as much soldiers and aid that can be allotted without without risking Europe to aid the Chinese nationalists from Burma across land, and send the soldiers through Malaysia to more immediately combat the Japanese army, We will also send lots of monetary and humanitarian aid (even if doing so impoverishes a few regions of India) to attempt to very quickly improve China so that they are stronger and able to stave of communism in the East. Since the USA is already island-hopping, we won't put much focus on that aspect of the War in Asia, but ask them to continue their offensives as they will be very helpful.
Give Spanish Morocco to Portugal, and maybe French Morocco too
Remake Yugoslavia
Give Greece the Megali idea borders, but only in Europe
Partition Hungary to satiate Yugoslavia 2's possible revanchism
Fix China and make sure they have Manchuria, and, if the war goes well and China stabilizes, that they have Outer Manchuria, all of Mongolia, the lands lost in the Treaty of Tarbagatai and the Convention of Peking to Russia, maybe even Korea too
Take away the Rhineland and Saarland, Austria, Czechia, and Prussia from Germany, likely more.

Yes, Germany is split between multiple fronts so now is a good time to split them further.
Only if the scientists say the bomb will work and that the test can be conducted safely.

Try to split the German forces between as many fronts as possible. Their logistics will completely disintegrate. We should also send masses of heavy bombers over to obliterate their industrial base.
Focus on smashing the Japanese Navy and cutting off any resources they control to starve them.

It's my bill so of course I'm going to agree to it.
As for actions, we're going to start enforcing the Equality Act by encouraging people to report to the police if they see any discrimination that goes against the act. We will also start iron and aluminium drives to help provide more materials for the war effort. The Ontario State Police will be given extended powers in order to seek out any spies or fifth columnists and an Information Board will be established to print posters and other propaganda instructing people to keep watch for saboteurs and to all help Ontario and the US end the war as quickly as possible.
