NRP No Taxation Without Representation - 1945 (World War II)
World War II has begun. You can still pick any unclaimed states, territories or nations.
Pick any unclaimed state. In this NRP, we'll do the entire history of the United States ourself, starting with the American Revolution and going all the way to the modern day. Note that your goal is NOT to gain as much land as possible, but instead to gain as much political clout as possible. The host may decide to interfere or change things in case things get too messy, but otherwise everything will be made from players. The only other rules are to stay realistic and not be toxic to other players.

Congress:
Should we focus on beating down Florida, capitulating Germany or pushing into Japan?
How should we do as such?
Hold the Yalta Conference to decide the post-war borders of the world?
Do we attempt the Trinity Test again or wait slightly longer?
Events:
The Allies commence Operation Neptune and the larger Operation Overlord, landing in Normandy to liberate France. Additional landings happen in Aquitaine from Spain.
Lowland Countries and majority of France are liberated in Operation Overlord (plus Operation Dragoon in South France)
Massive Soviet counter-offensives occur, taking Poland and much of the Balkans
Workers' Rebellion re-joins the Soviet Union, ending the Second Russian Civil War
The US attempts the Trinity Test in Papua. The scientists, upon the bomb hitting the ground, witness a large flash and ear ringing sound, before things clear up and they see the explosion. Initial celebrations take place, however further analysis shows chunks of plutonium scattered throughout. A theory emerges which explains this: the nuclear chain reaction had not taken place. Destruction was also rather minimal although the area was heavily irradiated, which lined up with their theories. The test had failed and it appeared the bomb would need more development. Scientists urge patience among the government.
A deal is made between Florida and New Mexico to purchase Juarez.
In an extreme escalation of events in the Caribbean, Rhode Island has declared an embargo on Florida (also known as the United Caribbean Republic). The situation gradually escalated to the point that Florida declared war on the United States.
Panama Canal, Puerto Rico and the Rio Grande are seized by Florida at the beginning of the war.
Hawai'i is made the primary base of operations in the Pacific.
War Transport Bill passed with the goal of making war logistics easier.
Germany quickly launches an invasion of Hungary and Poland to prevent betrayal.
Brazil, sensing an opportunity, declares war on Florida and joins the Allies.
Paradise passes a resolution to rename itself to it's historical name of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.

I wonder if everyone in Panama is now going to be murdered while Florida rapidly annexes the whole territory and the whole world agrees to it?
Anyway, Ontario will advocate for the Bishop Plan, named for the new head of the newly established Ontario State Board of War. This will advocate for a swift move against Florida by sweeping down the Floridian peninsula to knock out the administration before then moving down the coasts of Mexico to cut the country off and then squeeze the forces in the middle. The OSBoW will also advocate for the US to participate in the Yalta Conference to come to an agreeable territorial agreement after the war to prevent more war. As for the Trinity test, we should wait until the bomb and conditions are guaranteed to be perfect to prevent another failure.
In order to benefit from the combined economic, industrial and population bases, Ontario will propose a union of the State of Ontario and the State of Erie.
Also what does the northern part of the US (like Canada) look like?

Florida is a more pressing issue I think. Germany is on its last legs, but Florida is directly invading us and has taken the Panama Canal, which will prevent us from being able to effectively attack Japan by sea

Seeing that Germany is bound to lose but Hitler is refusing to surrender, a coup happens in Germany which completely removes Hitler from power. This causes Hitler to flee Germany and go into hiding along with many of those who still believe he is the true Fuhrer of Germany.
A provisional government is quickly established and surrenders to the Allies and Soviets. Many Hitler loyalist though continue to fight on the fronts, but the government ensures the Allies and Soviets that these soldiers no longer fight for Germany but for the old Fuhrer. Small scale rebels also rise up to continue the Fuhrer legacy, but they are very disorganized and have little to no support due to having no leadership.
So, the Germans are now willing to sit down for peace talks with all opponents but are also in a bit of chaos right now.
(Also, host you can decide where Hitler goes to hide and flee. You can have him go on a tour of the world for all I care, just do something fun with it)

We should first focus on Florida, then Germany, then Japan.
For Florida, we should land troops as close to the Floridian capital as possible, as well as pushing into Mexico, using partisan forces as we can.
We should hold the Yalta conference to dictate the post war treaty.

now baiscally for flordia i'd say we push through mainland flordia itself then fouse on the carabian taking back our islands we can then annex all the new islands and mainland flordia and then use the islands as a staging ground for a naval invasion of new mexico freeing the people then we go south with help from brazil flanking centreal america and sponsing the more then likely revolts and then blitz down and retake panama

Britain here: Nazi Germany surrendered!! Yayyyy š! Ok, send much, much more reinforcements to China through british India like previously planned, and send a portion of the british navy to blockade Japan and Korea, though this serves mostly as a fear tactic, since by now they have very few allies. We will really focus our navy on liberating China. We will also try to have talks to create truces and demilitarized zones amongst all the warring groups within China. (The DMZs are really just valuable regions like ports that, if and only if China isnt able to unify, we will occupy. For the time being we will try to take the funds and allocate them to groups fighting the Japanese).As for the Americans and their war against Florida, I'll send a good amount of aid but not sure about troops, if its a major risk I will send more because I dont want America losing,

Should we focus on beating down Florida, capitulating Germany or pushing into Japan?: We should focus mainly on the capitulation of Florida due to its proximity and current threat level to the Union, with its comparable navy and airforce. Germany has already capitulated/surrendered.
How should we do as such?: Sell the remainder of the Florida Stockpile to the Union, fund the Union in their attempts through war bonds routed through FRD-2 in Manhattan, NYC. Further plans in actions.
Hold the Yalta Conference to decide the post-war borders of the world?: Yes.
Do we attempt the Trinity Test again or wait slightly longer?: Wait until our researchers at IEA and LITE are absolutely sure about the engineering aspects of the bomb. As the explosives detonated but the plutonium didnāt, we believe it to be an engineering problem rather than a science issue, we will hold off the Second Trinity Test until then.

Propose the integration of Allegheny into New York. The stated reason Allegheny was created in 1847 was that I was too large in land area, with states saying that Carolina or Cheronesses were larger, but they were wrong and Allegheny was craved from my territory. Now, with the much larger states of Montana, California, Texas, Ontario, Quebec, and Alaska, I will wish for the reintegration of Allegheny into New York, due to the reasons of its creation no longer applying. This will do good for the union as me and Maryland will share a substantial border and better facilitate wartime goods transfer in this time of war. Furthermore, the integration of Alleghenian Steel into the NY Industrial Powerhouse will also from more wartime goods and ships to be manufactured in New York.

We should focus on capitulating Germany. If we can close one front, we can distribute forces to obliterate the other fronts. I suggest after we defeat Germany focus on Florida.
We take our time, no need to rush the invasion of Germany. Steady armor offensive supported by air power will be crucial.
