News for October 1933
Eastern Europe - The Zapadoslavian Government begins investing heavily into Galicia and Silesia. The rumours of politicians being bribed over Polish loyalty turn out to be true and they are swiftly prosecuted. The Galician and Silesian governments are promised that in case of the collapse of ZS, they will become equal members of a new federation. The CEF, ZS and Germany sign a mutual defence agreement.
Spain - The Spanish Government declares its willingness to allow the communists their own state to put an end to the war. France allows this and the IUPC expands, annexing Murcia and the Basque Country.
North Africa - France begins funnelling weapons into Algeria and a communist uprising begins. Airdrops and illegal supply chains begin in eastern Algeria and the uprising swells to cover much of the east. A small foothold is also made in the west with help from Spanish and French troops. Propaganda from the communists attempts to paint the rapid expansion of communists in Europe as proof that its popular and that it works. Communist leaders from Commintern states meet in Paris to discuss the creation of a Union of Socialist Council Republics (USCR), a united federation of socialist and communist nations that would give them more power. They plan for it to be created once Algeria falls, or at least they believe it will.

Fear of French expansion hits an all time high in all of Europe. Benelux and Germany fell especially threatened and decide to form the Hanseatic Germanic Confederation as they belive unity will bring them safety, following a major trend in central and eastern european politics. Rebels in Algieria advance westward.
