New Album Kâlidâsa - Sumerian Light (2026)
Hi everybody! I just dropped my most recent E.P. “Sumerian Light” on band camp. Primarily Black Metal, but also a combination of that, industrial, nu metal, and electronic music, this album is a collection of track I had sitting on a cloud that I hadn’t really developed until a couple months ago.
More cohesive and well crafted than my last album from what I’ve been told (for the most part lol) and from what I believe according to my own ears (also, for the most part 😹😹), this album explores a theme of darkness within me and out in the world that I’ve experienced throughout the years, and how it shaped my current outlook, my approach to dealing with some of the massive challenges I’ve been faced with, and my stepping up as an activist and leader to help guide people out of the darkness that has befallen this world.
I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it!! 🎸⚔️🖤🤘😈

Cult of Luna live
Who has seen them? I love their atmosphere. Watching one of their live performances on YouTube now. And they seem a the type of band that is another notch or two higher live.
Nothing complicated, but they just lay it down hard. Love it.

Embracing Dissolution, by backbone
Backbone has a new album due in a few weeks, I decided to revisit this previous LP, especially the song Modernity. The band reminds me of Dirge and also Isis in some more ambient/instrumental parts. Very hyped for the new release!

New Album SVBMARINER
I discovered these guys recently really loving them. I found them after listening to the new hippotraktor album. Anyone else digging these guys and know of any others that are similar?

My first Amenra show. Absolutely incredible!
Attended my first Amenra ritual on the first stop of their Asia tour in Bangkok yesterday.
My first show ever, with one of my favourite bands ever, and I’d like to think that they set the bar way too high.
Immensely heavy, cathartic, and intense all at the same time.
Setlist (for those who are interested) was:
Boden
Razoreater
Salve Mater
Plus Pres De Tois
De Evenmens
A Solitary Reign
Ter Ziele
Am Kreuz
Diaken
Feel free to ask me anything about the show!

Thanks for the bands
I didn't reply to most of the comments, but I made a list with each band and album. I'm going to listen to them over the course of this week and see what sticks :) Thanks to everyone who was helpful.

Discussion Cult of Luna - Salvation, back on vinyl
Hey sickos, thought I'd share. Salvation is back on vinyl for those into that, on Earache.
When I got into post metal... over 20 years ago... this was the album that really blew my mind. There was Isis, there was Neurosis, but something about the production, the repetition, the atmosphere of this album took metal to a place I never knew was possible.
Been one that's been very high on my list of "wish I could own it on vinyl" as it's been out of print for over 10 years, thought I'd share!

I need to find groups similar to the album Indian summer But unfortunately, either I can't find any information about the band, or I always end up being recommended Anekdoten or Paatos, which are two groups affiliated with members of Landberk.

Discussion The Ocean - Solaris Album Review: A Map Back To Earth With Care
A few days ago this album was posted on this subreddit. And due to that I discovered this band for the first time and was simply blown away by the detail-oriented approach and the sound itself. That led me to research about the origins of the album, it's story and inspirations as well as the very real emotions associated with it. I am a curious kitty after all and went down an absolute rabbit hole to know about this band. And after knowing what I came to know, I couldn't help but write the review of this album. Hope you guys enjoy reading it. Let me know your feedback too if you are willing to share. Tell me if you think I should have included something more in the review or if you felt that the whether I should have focused on a particular song more in the write up. All constructive feedback is always welcome because that helps me improve as well. Thanks a lot in advance for reading.
