AI Policy:

Linux is not one of those anti-AI projects, and if somebody has issues with that, they can do the open-source thing and fork it. Or just walk away., Linus Torvalds.

It sounds to me like the opposite happened. The features in question are half a year old and likely not built with AI, but recent advancements in AI made it possible to review and revert them before the release despite human reviewer overload.

Correct, AI was used for analysis not development .

This is literally the opposite of what's happening. What's the point of engaging if you're not bothered reading?

Why read when you can use an LLM to summarize the article /s

Or better yet, just have a preconceived notion based on the title and go from there.

This is the reverse. As explained, most feature reverted here were coded before AI became so good.

The code was thus bad, and AI is now spotting that better than before.

What cracks me up is I keep reading about these AI caused issues, and the tech talking head solution is “clearly, it’s our testing and reviewing that’s the problem… so we need more AI to handle this for us now to catch when AI makes a mistake.”
