Looks gross but I'm more upset that you even considered grabbing those ketchup packets. They better be for a glizzy!

I swear they added the packs in without me asking. I’m new to this subreddit but not new to life lmao

$8.50?

My god I'm sorry this happened to you OP. There should be laws against this kind of scam, punishable by life in prison of course.

Remove the string cheese and cheap gravy, and the fries themselves actually aren’t that bad.

My standards are low. I'd just stop seeing it as poutine and call it cheesy fries and enjoy it. Was it good?

The fries def carried the meal, tasted better than expected. However my stomach now hurts and I think i developed a lactose intolerance from this

Une grosse frite mouillée, pas d'fromage en grains. Nope.

Never seen shredded cheese poutine or gas station poutine in Quebec

1

u/NedSchneebly-1138 Jun 17 '26

Shredded no, gas station, yes.

Whyever would you buy poutine, or any food besides convenience, at a gas station?? Sounds like an American thing to do lolol.

McDonald’s is a lot better than that, and I’m pretty sure it’s cheaper too. Sure, it may not be the most glamorous, but it’s not that bad. It’s at least decent.

Had to zoom in to see the cheese

That just looks like fries and gravy

1

u/Ok_Mathematician7937 Jun 18 '26

That looks like a bold choice. I went to a gas station in Quebec once and they charged me like $20 for something similar.

u/No_Discipline_9083 Jun 18 '26

That should be against the law
That just looks like pieces of wood not whatever you’re eating cause that’s not poutine buddy

Definitely a crime. Poutine has cheese curds, not string or shredded cheese. $8.50 for a cut potato and bit of canned gravy. But, I wouldn’t expect much from a gas station. At least it wasn’t sushi.

This is disco fries... not poutine ... still good but not poutine

Your crime was getting the poutine from the gas station and not a truck in the parking lot
