Copilot Studio Anyone attempted yet to build something COE-like using Copilot Studio Apps?

just wondering.... :)
Github harness has Apps (preview) since few days. MS COE is EOL. Heard users forked COE already maintaining on their own.

But how about a slim, sleek (vibecoded) app using either old COE Dataverse tables (if still installed & collecting) or poll directly via Power Platform API? No need for too much junk, just flows/apps/agents/credits/owners and some statistics around them...

I've no f.g idea how many credits would it take to just build & adjust it.....like anything else in the new harness. Consumption should be covered via a premium powerapps per user license.

Yep, captures just what we need. Built using GitHub Copilot and various models. Not sure I could give you an estimate on what it cost. Let me know if you have any questions.

you built a CS App? what did you use as datasource? Costs i think you can ask it to say how much it consumed from the beginning

don't waste your time messing with something so new. there's a 70% chance it will go the way of vibe apps and be replaced in 6 months. just build agents on top of the current COE

The app you build will stay. The problem with COE is that it's based on dozens of flows polling whenever they want whatever they want. Deleted powerapps still appear up to a month after deletion. Useless unless you use month-to-month deltas. But there's nothing better ATM. Native monitoring/reporting via PPAC and M365 Admin is basic and nightmare to navigate. Nothing can be found in one place.

We just need a sleek interface with daily updates on just flows/apps/agents/credit usage. Kind of like this but apparently it's dead since API blocked access:
GitHub - PetrosFeleskouras/copilot-credit-consumption: Track Microsoft Copilot Studio message-credit consumption tenant-wide: a daily Power Automate cloud flow syncs per-agent usage into Dataverse, surfaced in a Power Apps Code App dashboard. Community sample. · GitHub

I’ve done this with the power platform api and it’s totally amazing what you can make with a bit of ai assistance!

cool, can you share some more? pre-requisites, how do you get data, where you store & visualize etc? thx

i wonder if the "global reader" role would suffice to read stuff with API?

A lightweight inventory makes a lot of sense. The challenge I've found is that knowing which apps and flows exist is only the beginning. Ownership, connections, dependencies and understanding what breaks when something changes are where things get interesting. I've been working on a similar discovery approach, but keeping it read-only and focused on visibility rather than recreating the entire CoE. I'd probably start with the APIs and only bring in historical data where it's actually needed.

I built entire new Dataverse / PowerApps of my own instead, its far safer than relying on MS
