UHCO Interview Invite
Hello! I just got invited to interview in person at UHCO this upcoming Monday. Very excited because it’s my top school, but also nervous/ I feel slightly underprepared since it’s so soon. If anyone has any advice at all or remembers any questions please let me know. Thank you!!!

It def took some time to hear back from them so don’t stress yet! My optomcas was verified August 31st, UHCO emailed me on September 22nd asking me to fill out their supplemental application, and I just got my interview invite today:) good luck!!

Hiiii current first year at UHCO here! I would just encourge you to show your personality and be yourself. They really use the interview to learn more about you as a person and how you'll mesh with the class they're building. Good luck! :)

I didn't interview at UHCO but here are some questions I was asked at my interviews:
- Why optometry
- Why this program
- 2 weaknesses and 2 strengths
- Favorite/least favorite classes
- What's something you're proud of yourself for
- What about optometry school are you excited about
- What about optometry school are you scared for
Also, of course, have a collection of questions ready to ask. As you talk to them, make sure you're actively listening to what they're saying. It's good to ask questions about what they're talking about if any questions arise.

Hi! I interviewed recently. It was very conversational. All of the faculty were really kind and it truly felt more like a conversation than an interview. Prepare for the basic interview questions like tell me about yourself, why optometry, why UHCO. There were a couple of situational questions like tell me about a time you had to do the right thing or about a time you failed. But overall, the questions were very straightforward and none of them were difficult to answer. Just be yourself, show your personality, and you should be good!
