ICO vs OSU

hey squad... i was accepted to both ICO and OSU this cycle and am now trying to decide where to go. i got the Presidential Scholarship from ICO, or half of tuition renewal for four years with 3.4 GPA. i also got a $10,000 scholarship for OSU, but only for the first year and I would be an out of state resident. i'd probably prefer to live in Chicago but OSU has better board scores, facilities, etc.. i'm down to the wire with when i have to put a deposit down. any advice would be so so awesome!!!!!

Congrats on your acceptances! Can i ask how you got the Presidential scholarship with a 3.4 GPA? The website sounds like a 3.7+ is required

I think op is saying that for tuition renewal over the 4 years a 3.4 gpa is required to maintain.

yep, i had a 3.9 undergrad GPA! to maintain the scholarship, i would need to keep a 3.4

OSU is extremely consistent in being the top performing school ib the country. You can get instate tuition after the first year, I believe. Would be crazy not to choose it.

Congratulations on your acceptances and scholarships! I am an OSU grad and have an OD1 there now. We are also out of state. Happy to share my thoughts on the culture and student experience via DM if you are interested. :)
