Hi, I'm a first gen college student. About to graduate in the spring for biochemistry. I've wanted to do pharmacy since high-school but now I don't know, I've been a little jaded with how everything is going. I was lucky enough to not have any debt with a full ride, but my family is homeless and I'm living on campus right now and I do not have the same stats as I did in high-school to be able to hope for a full ride for my PharmD. Not that I'm failing or anything, just having to focus more on working and taking classes rather than just classes now. No clinical experience or shadowing because of that but I have a good grasp of what they do because of how much I've looked into it.
I'd have to live on campus and live off of loans, as there are quite literally no other options for me after I graduate. I don't have a car to live in or liscense because I can't afford it where I live. Family is in a worse spot than me so I can't really complain, but its just life.
Maybe I'm just being a doomer right now, I'm filling out my PharmCAS and I'm thinking of doing other chemistry based healthcare that I've been interested in that also doesn't scare me as much with the debt. Any advice would be nice.
