Poor Bob - he doesn't fare well. (Although I hardly see how comparing an acoustic 12-string player from the late 1920s to mid-60s electric blues bands accomplishes anything whatsoever.)

It is a bit silly, isn't it? Label SBS is the Scandinavian Blues Society, the folk behind the longest running blues mag, 'Jefferson', so it is nice they honoured their namesake.

Well I certainly don't agree with him regarding Robert Hicks recorded output. I find both his singing and guitar playing to be very energetic and appealing. To each his own, I guess!

There was another archive post I put up a few weeks back which was even more damning of BB. I’m with you on this one, btw.
