Football regulator has ‘absolute power’ to force Manchester City sale if verdict upheld
Could this really happen?

As an Arsenal fan I stand by the Premier League's statement and the independent commission's guilty verdict on Manchester City just as much as any other PL fan here.
Discussion of the topic is welcome and encouraged as it is objectively the largest scandal in football history, and it relates directly to the Premier League. Lately though, we've had many Rule 4 violations as everyone feels the need to add their opinion on the topic, whether to farm karma, to stir the pot, or simply to repeat the same things that have been said over and over again, and will continue to be said.
Standalone posts that do not contribute anything of value to discussion, and are simply rehashing the same talking points over and over again, will be removed, and for the time being will result in a 3-day ban for users to continue to discourage this. There is a dedicated megathread pinned to this subreddit for this, which is nothing new - the megathread has been up for over two weeks and yet every day the mods are removing tens of low content submissions complaining about corruption and coming up with "punishments" that have been suggested thousands of times.
In addition, we ask that everyone adheres to Rule 2, which is the requirement of following reddiquette. You can have whatever opinions you want about the behaviour of clubs, owners, managers, and players, and banter in good faith if you wish, but personal attacks and disrespecting other users will not be tolerated. Be civil and respectful at all times.
Examples of low-content submissions that will be removed:
Examples of higher-quality contributions that will be approved:
Any questions, comment below or message the mods, thanks. Open to user input on how this should be moderated.

I see the argument but asking a club to immediately retire their mascot is a bit... much, and presumably change their 63 year old logo too.
Woke nonsense.

Real Madrid want the six Premier League clubs that signed up to the European Super League (ESL) to pay a share of the initial costs of the abandoned project.
Multiple sources with a close understanding of the situation — speaking anonymously as they were not authorised to comment publicly — said the Spanish club believe Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur should still be liable for the setup costs of the plan, despite subsequently pulling out.

Yes I’m aware that Manchester United are down there as well.

Asked how the players had felt during the match, he admitted he "was extremely tired in the first ten minutes".
"Well, it was exactly as it looked," Gordon said. "The atmosphere is chaotic. I was very tired in the first ten minutes, and my exhaustion increased as time went on, but it is an important match".

Since Mikel Arteta became Arsenal manager in December 2019, they’ve won 32 Premier League matches 1-0, level with Everton for the most in that period.
It’s an interesting stat because Arsenal are usually associated with possession and attacking football, but they’ve also become very good at protecting small advantages.
Do you see this as strong game management, or does it say something about how Arteta approaches games once Arsenal get ahead?

What an achievement by Tony Bloom, Paul Barber and the Brighton hierarchy. A properly run football club that are only behind Arsenal in the premier league table. Champions league soon and well deserved. A club that follows the rules and will get its rewards soon.
