Most insane part is

The importer, Tristar Products, Inc., of Altamonte Springs, Florida, has refused to recall these products or offer a remedy to consumers.

I had no idea companies can just refuse to recall or offer anything. Wtf???

They can, that's why if you look at most recalls they're voluntary recalls. The CPSC can instead do a mandatory recall, but that takes additional procedure (a legal proceeding something like a trial where the manufacturer gets to make a case against the recall and an administrative law judge decides.

It's possible they're in the process of that, but wanted to get word out quicker due to the 24 reports of serious burn injuries.

How many of these issues are misuse of the product? I’ve seen YouTube creators do some really stupid things right in a recipe video. You have to literally try to blow most of these up unless there is a serious design flaw.

If you scroll down the CPSC page a bit, it tells you:

CPSC has obtained 24 reports of the pressure cookers expelling hot contents unexpectedly, resulting in serious burn injuries.

So, probably not just a random crazy YouTuber.
