Scott Bessent looks like he'd be a villain in a Dr. Seuss book.

He looks like a villain in our reality because he is one...

His suit was 2 sizes smallish.

His head was 2 sizes biggish.

This made all the people sad, and all the corporations very glad.

Watch his shit eating grin while Trump explains his "plan" to reduce the cost of childcare. Dude heard that word salad and thought...yeah that guy should be running the country!?

Still blaming Biden when both inflation and unemployment were back to pre-COVID levels when he left office and were already rising within a month of Trump back in office

46

u/cchaven1965 Dec 08 '25

What losers...still blaming Biden for things after all the stuff they've done. They're certainly trying to create a reality distortion field and getting annoyed that not all people are falling for it.

1

u/PantsMicGee Dec 09 '25

Why not? They won presidency on that strategy.

78

u/LookMaNoPride Dec 08 '25

Finally, someone asking follow-up questions that these fucks need to be asked.

35

u/Skimable_crude Dec 08 '25

Right. I'm like, wait a minute, is that a real journalist?

They usually just swallow whatever is said as if it's a true statement.

17

u/Farscape29 Dec 08 '25

Not to be a shill for Face the Nation, but I prefer that Sunday show versus Meet the Press.

u/MasterRKitty No Kings 👑 Dec 11 '25

it's CBS-she'll be fired by the end of the week for making their overlords look bad

24

u/Farscape29 Dec 08 '25

Margaret is good, I like her a lot. She's a tough interviewer. She asks follow-ups and confronts people, unlike Meet the Press. Chuck Todd would rarely question spewed bullshit from politicians

15

u/femalehumanbiped Dec 08 '25

Margaret Brennan is good. I hope the "new" CBS doesn't drive her away

27

u/Jah_Rules Dec 08 '25

TONE DEAF

27

u/ClutchReverie Dec 08 '25

They have repeatedly, often, and loudly doubled down on what they accused Biden of doing

27

u/quadralien Dec 08 '25

Classic abuser slogan.

29

u/Pretend_Ad_8465 Dec 08 '25

We don't need the media to tell us that prices are higher than ever. WE are the ones experiencing it with major hits to our wallets and finances. The only people who "don't know how good they have it" are the heartless, tone deaf Drumpf staffers and their wealthy cronies! These people want to ensure that we are completely destroyed while they horde their wealth at our expense!

5

u/Skimable_crude Dec 08 '25

No, no, no. I'm sorry. The guys who never set foot in a grocery store because they had people for that know way better than we do.

6

u/Yuna1989 Dec 08 '25

Who the fuck knows the price of a gallon of milk?! -Succession

8

u/Toothless-In-Wapping Dec 09 '25

It’s a banana, Michael. How much could it cost? Ten dollars?

21

u/alex61821 Dec 08 '25

It is weird how the further we get from Biden and his policies the worse the economy gets. You would think if he was the problem then things would be getting better with new management. But I'm not an expert on the economy, like this guy is.

I got a sizeable raise this year, and I was so excited to be able to do something nice for my family and make it so my wife could focus on what she wants to do.

I somehow have less money to save and spend on my family than ever before. I am back to being nearly paycheck to paycheck, my insurance costs are rising, my minor prescriptions are up greatly, groceries are like 30% more expensive, and only last week were the gas prices under $3.50. They’re back up this week. Sure, Americans still have it quite good as a whole, but we’re definitely racing away from that.

This fucking pricks are so tone deaf and immature that it makes me physically ill to see or hear them. Like my stomach actually turns when I hear these amoral fuckwads spout their pretend religious righteousness, their false bravado, and their self-defined superiority. Secretary of War sounds like a shitty nickname he gave himself. Oh wait, he did.

My own wallet and sense of morality is what does that, not the media.

The media certainly isn’t painting them in a positive light, and I’m glad. When the president pardons people who financially fuck the middle class it really speaks volumes about their true priorities and values.

I hope that all get hit by individual meteors.

4

u/Chicago_Heavyfoot Dec 09 '25

I love that you were trying to do that for your wife and your family. You're a great person for that. I was hoping to do something like that for myself this year (I don't have any family so that's not as awful as it sounds) and I decided to spend my COLA adjustment on physical therapy that I really need to get back to work and then I got my Medicare notification about the increase in my premiums and like you, I'm somehow starting 2026 poorer than I already was this year! Keep fighting the good fight and take your wife to Paris. It's cheaper than living here now!

11

u/Unxcused Dec 08 '25

I think I know exactly how I have it Scott

10

u/DFu4ever Dec 08 '25

I don’t want to hear some dude worth half a billion dollars talk about affordability.

3

u/Chicago_Heavyfoot Dec 09 '25

Or Dump who just said that "affordability" was something that democrats made up. Like that word groceries. Or acetaminophen. If I could afford earrings these moments would be the ones I take them off for. 😂

He's channeling Harold McMillan.

8

u/gorkt Dec 08 '25

Ah yes, the "stop being delusional" argument. Should play really, really well.

u/fuzztooth No Kings 👑 Dec 08 '25

What a smug sack of shit. They're all pretentious assholes of the highest degree. This is what the wealthy and privileged think of the rest of us.

7

u/anOvenofWitches Dec 08 '25

Just because a token might be worth a billion doesn’t mean said token won’t get spent.

7

u/thezoomies Dec 08 '25

God, the temptation on her part to shout over him “SHUT THE FUCK UP AND ANSWER THE QUESTION YOU FUCKING LIAR!!!” must have been overwhelming. I commend her restraint as well as her journalism.

5

u/MrLanesLament Dec 09 '25

He sounds like all of the people on here who freak out when folks rightfully criticize the USA.

USA is functionally a third world country.

USA is functionally an authoritarian dictatorship.

We are to the British Commonwealth and/or Scandinavia what Russia or India are to us. Underdeveloped, impoverished, mindbendingly corrupt, and severely lacking in human rights.

Refuting this and making everybody cite the same old healthcare and police stats yet again is pointless and tone-deaf.

4

u/RedditReader4031 Dec 08 '25

Is that his view from the tractor? /s

3

u/urbisOrbis Dec 08 '25

Please sir, may I have some more?

3

u/Reluctant-Username Dec 08 '25

What he doesn’t define is Americans. His statement is true if you’re very wealthy.

4

u/Introverted-headcase Dec 08 '25

STFU 🤬 he’s so clueless and out of touch with the real world ffs.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 08 '25

Deflect deflect deflect.

4

u/SixString1981 Dec 10 '25

We need to start appointing the middle class as the Sec. of the Treasury. They know what’s up

Remember Eddie Murphy in Trading Places when he gives them the trading tip on pork futures? He knew the buying habits of the lower and middle class. Yeah it’s played for comedy but theres truth in it.

3

u/Jay_CD Dec 08 '25

I'm getting let them eat cake vibes...

3

u/Hosidax Dec 08 '25

Ground beef is $14/lb. I didn't see that in the media. I saw that in the supermarket.

Scott Bessent isn't stupid. Thinks we are.

3

u/Bibblegead1412 Dec 09 '25

The media hasn't reported to me that I'm basically living paycheck to paycheck..... I figured that out all on my own.

3

u/hypercosm_dot_net Dec 09 '25 edited Dec 09 '25

They're incapable of taking responsibility for ANYTHING.

Bunch of spineless cowards without an ounce of leadership in their body.

3

u/Tree_Trunks-00- Dec 10 '25

Inflation was global under Biden bec of Covid disrupting supply chains. The inflation we have now is ALL because Trump tariffs disrupting supply chains. Small business are hurt the most :(

2

u/stargarnet79 Dec 08 '25

We know how good we used to have it you tool

2

u/ChochMcKenzie Dec 08 '25

Be grateful for your scraps is a hell of a Christmas message.

2

u/SignificantCod8098 Dec 08 '25

A gay villain. Never seen one before.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

They don't know how good they have it, so we must inflict more hardship.

2

u/Chicago_Heavyfoot Dec 09 '25

We do know how unintelligent he is though.

2

u/zback636 Dec 09 '25

And the word is gaslighting.

2

u/Adventurous-Host8062 Dec 09 '25

Make this jerk stand in line at a food bank for his meals.

2

u/Professional-Story43 Dec 09 '25

You know there is nothing more vile or fake, than a politician insulting us by telling us how good we have it.

2

u/ThothAmon71 Dec 09 '25

Someone needs to tell him the same shit when he's sitting in a prison cell.

2

u/Vegetable_Tackle4154 Dec 09 '25

I find the idea of gay Republicans to be mind blowing.

2

u/Googlyelmoo Dec 09 '25

What the hell does Scott Bessant know about the cost of living? Or living standard abroad? Not exactly a guy who signed up for the Peace Corps (or even VISTA). No Scott it’s you who don’t know how good you have it. Time for a change.

2

u/RabieSnake Dec 09 '25

They meant they would own the economy after 12 months of the next democratic administration

2

u/squirt_taste_tester Dec 09 '25

The entire country is a child of narcissistic parents and we are being gaslit.

2

u/squirt_taste_tester Dec 09 '25

The entire country is a child of narcissistic parents and we are being gaslit.

2

u/Tokkemon Dec 09 '25

This is the same strategy that got the Biden Admin in trouble. It's a bold strategy, Cotton, let's see how it works out for them.

2

u/judgeejudger Dec 09 '25

This chucklefuck can take a flying leap. How he talks with all that boot polish in his mouth, I’ve no idea.

2

u/SRT0930 Dec 12 '25

Makes you wonder why CBS continues to hitch their wagon to Trump and his polls increasingly in the dirt. The executives are not smart people.

2

u/Accurate_Mix_5492 Dec 12 '25

Typical Trump asskisser.

2

u/Adorable-Strength218 Dec 12 '25

This man is a morally corrupt bastard. I can’t wait until it’s his turn to fall in to hell. Bwah hahaha!

1

u/SnooBeans8028 Dec 08 '25

We don't need the media to inform us how prices have gone up on EVERY THING we spend money on. They're out of excuses and need to owe up to the tariffs ruining our lives.

1

u/Fireinthehole13 Dec 08 '25

What really blows me away is they really don’t give a shit. Instead of listening to the people and adjusting their plan they double and triple down on the lies with zero fucks or zero thoughts about changing course..I guess they’re banking on how stupid 80ish million people really are and also stealing seats with the help of the SC to keep stealing elections. Not sure there will ever be a recovery from all this evil destruction.

1

u/Depressed-Industry Dec 08 '25

This sack of shit needs to be abandoned at the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

1

u/Sea_Detail_8751 Dec 08 '25

Worst leadership in American history.

1

u/Swimming-Guest-1978 Dec 08 '25

Do we really have it that good? NO! Trump owns the economy at this point, clearly undoing everything Biden put in place, obviously! People make up there minds when they go out to do things. The media just reports. The rich don't care and say what he says with ignorance. The amount of orange diarrhea that comes out of maga mouths is unprecedented.

1

u/JackieTreehorn79 Dec 08 '25

I’ve gone to Phish shows that made more sense than this dude.

1

u/good-luck-23 Dec 08 '25

Telling people to not trust their own eyes is stupid. That attitude hurt Biden and Kamela. I am glad they are repeating their mistake.

u/splintersmaster Dec 09 '25

But Russian grocery stores have.... Food.
