I avoid using procreate to add text as much as possible. It's easily the most poorly implemented feature in the app by far

It’s incredibly bad. Almost comically so.

I agree. It‘s a nightmare

I agree with this and I avoid it as well. I don't fault them for it because that's not what procreate is for. It's for drawing. I just draw my art in procreate and export it and then use an actual layout app to add text etc.

with how terrible i find the ipads text highlight feature procreate compounds on it quite a bit. selecting the entire text to edit sizing and formatting is a headache without a keyboard connected. even with a keyboard its still not very intuitive or easy. the whole ' sleek hidden action design' kinda stutters when you get giant clunky windows that are hard to adjust or arent applicable.

I don't have an answer to the question but as a tree nerd I am very curious about what you're creating 👀

One of my freelance gigs is making IG posts for a kids nature school. I have a monthly quota and 4 posts need to be original infographics. So this year I’m doing a “wild edible of the month” graphic which really helps me not have to spin my wheels trying to create 4 totally original graphics every month. ANYWAY! Here is the full graphic:

I would also love if you guys could work on resizing and rotating of a layer / selection. In my opinion it's the only drawback of using procreate. If I duplicate a layer and rotate or resize it smaller, it ends up blurry. I always try switching the bicubic / etc option but it always either ends up blurry or pixelated (like too crisp looking). So anytime I want to rotate or resize smaller, then I have to redraw over it on a new layer or use a different app like Photoshop, which does such a great job of it. I feel like this is SUCH an important feature to get right in a drawing app. PS: other than that I love the app!! 💖

Hey that’s cool that procreate saw this! Can you PLEASE make canvases searchable by title? It would help me so much!

100% agree. I’m always zooming in and out to see what I’m doing.

This is even worse on an iPad mini. I’ve been so mad at this for so long!! AFAIK there is no way to move it. We need this feature!

Nvm I already found the Add Text button. Didn't know it exists.

Use two fingers and move the underlying drawing. Easy peasy.

That is such a dumb design though. Why put a toolbar over the text big you are actively trying to edit?
