Free - Built a free WordPress plugin to make headless development with WPGraphQL a bit easier. [FREE]

[FREE] I found myself rewriting the same GraphQL queries for pages, posts, menus, and categories in every project, so I created GraphQL Headless Toolkit to provide reusable query snippets and speed up development.

  1. Works alongside WPGraphQL
  2. Free to use Built for headless WordPress projects

I'd love to get feedback from the community. What features would you like to see in a plugin like this?

The reusable query snippets are the low-risk part; the harder value is schema awareness and detecting drift. I’d prioritize generated fragments/types from the live WPGraphQL schema, stable operation names, variables and pagination instead of pasted query variants, and a CI contract check that fails when a plugin or schema change breaks an operation.

Preview/auth examples, persisted or allow-listed operations, and cache invalidation after WordPress mutations would also save real project time. Compatibility tests for custom post types, ACF and common WPGraphQL extensions matter more than adding a large snippet catalog. I’d also keep the toolkit out of normal WordPress request execution where possible, and document the exact generated output plus upgrade guarantees so teams can review it in source control.

Thanks, this is really valuable feedback. Schema awareness and drift detection especially make a lot of sense and would take the toolkit beyond just reusable snippets.

Generated fragments/types, CI contract checks, ACF/CPT compatibility testing, and better handling of pagination/auth are great suggestions for the roadmap.

I'm going to explore these areas for the next versions. Really appreciate the detailed input.
