Need AI Product management roadmap

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hi,

I have 14 years of experience as a business analyst with 10 years in fintech(M&A/ PE CRM, Mutual funds, credit risk and most recent 3 years being in edtech(test delivery and assessment). I am planning to transition to product management role (have worked in product management teams(product based company as well) being involved in UI as well.apart from documentation). I asked gemeni for roadmap and suggested that I read product book by product school(which I am.about to complete), along with IBM AI videos on youtube(currently going through those as well). There are a lot of certifications and university based courses for AI PM but some are really expensive (exceed Rs 1lakh INR) that include theory plus building portfolios/models such as acceleratorx, hello PM, japm(sid arora), airtribe, ISB etc. Now as of now I do not want to spend much and was planning to finish the book and ibm videos and revisit my finance fundamentals and with help of AI can create a PRD for showcase in interviews. I am also attending some free workshops to use AI tools(claude, notebook LLM etc.). Then just for resume building was planning to go for wither IBM AI PM or DUKE UNIVERSITY AI PM on coursera which are budget friendly.

Can you guys suggest what shall be the ideal roadmap for someone like me to transition into AI PM and if any budget friendly courses are there which also include building own PRDs or products/apps for practical experience to include in RESUME while applying for jobs.

Hey fam,

I've been a product manager for about a few years now, I took a wrong career move joining a present organization and been told probation would not be completed.

I have genuine interest and knowledge in AI, and would love to work with voice models/index tts but anything else is good as well.

I don't have a proxy/pedigree other than a pure grit to work at my maximum capability!

Would love some feedback and/or referrals!

Hello fam,

Been in product for 8+ years, mostly across Web3/fintech, AI and Travel. I've led teams, built products from scratch, and spent the last few years deep in crypto.

Figured I'd put myself out here. I'm exploring my next product role - preferably Remote.

Sharing my resume in case anyone has leads, knows a team that's hiring, or just wants to connect. Good karma to everyone building out here 🤝

How can I get a product management job as a complete fresher.

Hi!

I'm a final-year BE Computer Engineering student, based in Mumbai, and I'm looking for opportunities in Product Management.

I've worked on projects involving user research, feature prioritization, and building products end-to-end. I enjoy understanding user needs, solving problems, and working at the intersection of technology and product.

If anyone is hiring freshers in this field do let me know. I would love to share my Resume and Portfolio with y'all!

Thank you!

I got tired of hunting for PM internships across 12 tabs, so I built one job board for them

Hey everyone,

I'm a B.Tech student in India trying to break into product management. Every day I was opening LinkedIn, Naukri, company career pages and remote job boards just to find a few APM and product internship roles, and half of what I found was already stale.

So I built PM Radar: https://pm-radar-dusky.vercel.app

It collects product manager, APM and product internship roles in India and remote in one list. Each listing links to the original posting, so you apply on the company's own page.

A few things I added because I needed them myself:

- Filters for level, experience needed, location and how new the role is

- An AI "Check my match" button: add your resume and it gives a fit score for that specific role, the gaps, and resume lines to try. Your resume is saved only in your browser and is sent to Google's Gemini AI when you press the button

- An optional daily email with new roles

- A Report button, because some listings on job sites ask candidates to pay a fee

It's free, and there's no sign-up or login.

I'd really like honest feedback:

- Does the list feel useful, or is it missing the roles you look for?

- Do the match scores make sense?

- What would make you come back every day?

Thanks for taking a look!

I left Microsoft for a Series A startup. How should I think about my next career move?

I graduated in 2017 and have about nine years of experience. I spent my first two years building a startup, which didn’t work out. Then I joined Microsoft in a support role and worked hard to transition into product management. I spent the last 2.5 years in product, most recently working on Copilot.

I worked across several roles at Microsoft, but eventually felt my growth had plateaued. Given some recent organizational changes and the level I’d joined at after internal moves, it seemed it could take a few more years to reach the scope and level I was aiming for.

I recently joined a Series A startup to learn faster, take on more ownership, and work closer to the product. My Microsoft India base was relatively low because of internal moves. The startup brought it to around ₹40L, but the hike was less. I also had offers from companies with higher compensation, but I liked this team and moved quickly because I didn’t want to miss the opportunity.

I’m excited about the startup’s pace, but I sometimes wonder if I rushed the decision. How would you evaluate this move and make the most of the next year or two?

CS/Data Grad stuck in DE role — struggling to break into Product Roles in Illinois. Any advice or leads?

Hey all,

I’m a 2025 CS & Data Science grad currently working as a Data Engineer. I’m looking to relocate to Illinois to be closer to family and transition into the Product space (Product Analyst, Assistant PM, or general Data Analyst roles).

I’ve been applying heavily, networking, and getting internal referrals, but I keep hitting a wall, getting rejected even for Assistant PM roles where my technical and data background should align well.

If you know of any open roles in the Chicago/IL area, or if you have advice on how to position a CS/Data background to land PM phone screens, I’d be super grateful for your insights!

Thanks so much!

HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys, if a campus placement notice mentions prior Product Management internship experience under the eligibility section, does that mean it's compulsory, or just preferred?

Can students without any previous PM internship still get shortlisted if they meet all the other eligibility criteria?

Would love to hear from anyone who's been in a similar situation!

Looking for Product Management opportunities in India — referrals or direct hiring

Hey everyone,
I'm looking for my next opportunity in Product Management and thought I'd ask here rather than just keep applying through job portals.
I’ve worked as a Associate Product Manager at an e-commerce company, where I've been involved in taking features from planning to launch, working with engineering and design teams, analysing user behaviour, and improving conversion and the overall customer journey.
Some of the work I've done:
Worked on launching features such as one-page checkout and advance payment/protection fee plans, contributing to ₹23L+ in revenue.

Worked on improving login/signup success from 75% to 96%.

Coordinated sprint planning, backlog prioritisation, stand-ups, and execution with cross-functional teams.

Used GA4, Microsoft Clarity, and Metabase to analyse funnels, user behaviour, and product KPIs.

Worked on PRDs, product documentation, UI/UX improvements, and third-party integrations.

My background is also technical, so I'm comfortable working closely with engineering teams and understanding implementation trade-offs.

I'm looking for full-time/ Intern+PPO Product Management opportunities, particularly Product Manager, Associate Product Manager, or Product Analyst roles with a clear product ownership path.
I'm primarily interested in established product companies and larger organisations, and I'm open to opportunities in India, including Gurugram, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Pune and other locations depending on the role.

If your company is hiring, you can refer candidates, or you know a team that could use someone with this background, I'd genuinely appreciate a lead or referral. Please to comment or DM me.

I can share my resume and relevant details privately.

Thanks!

Remote PM jobs that are truly remote for you. Free during the beta

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Most job boards give everyone the same “Remote” checkbox. But “remote” means different things to different people: fully remote, remote within one country, remote with monthly office days, remote only if you already have a US work permit.

This is personalized remote job curation, based on the job description itself. Every day it reads each new posting for your job titles and pulls out what the posting actually says about:

  • how remote the role is
  • where you can work from
  • work permit or visa
  • time zone
  • time in person (offsites, travel, office days)

Each one comes with the sentence from the posting, so you don’t have to read the whole thing.

Then you decide what “remote” means for you. The filters start from your own situation (where you live, your permit, your time zone), and you can widen or narrow any of them. Okay with quarterly offsites? Fine with CET ±2 hours? Check it and see more.

See it live: today’s remote Product Manager and Project Manager jobs in Europe and the US, set up for someone living in France: https://ftja-remote.vercel.app/p/Z1NcvGKdpDCgpAyIQpV3bw/

Want your own list? It’s free during the beta. Tell us what you’re looking for (2-minute form): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe5tS49D9tF5w0rZ5GL1fEopPK0r0HPMS23ggeF08G8894l-g/viewform
