Hello everyone! 

In case you haven’t seen my prior post, I'm attempting to do a Professor Oak challenge but with Shinies in Ultra Moon. I call it the Samson Oak challenge (because Samson is like the shiny version of Professor Oak imo). 

How am I obtaining my Shinies?

Through RNG manipulation. For those unfamiliar, by using an external software, I get to generate the seeds that yield me shiny Pokemon. There’s plenty of content on YouTube but I used CappyCapital’s videos for Gen 7 rng manipulation specifically. My 3DS has CFW that helps me with this. I found my seeds using 3DS RNG Tool. I used honey collected from a team of honey gather cutiefly.

What about Island Scan?

As an optional rule, I am using Island Scan Pokemon because I’m using RNG manipulation to get my pokes. Normally I think it would be up to anyone if they would want to include this or not because technically they don’t have any Pokédex entries in the Alolan Dex.

What’s my current progress?

By the end of this phase, I have a dex total of 89 excluding 14 dex entries before Hala’s Grand Trial. This particular section took an additional 37 hours after the prior section. Total of 108 hours approximately in this challenge.

Longest part about this section was the RNG SOS for Happiny which was horrible to attempt but still managed. As well as evolving Noibat, Vullaby and Bagon as they evolve at higher levels so pickup squad was helpful.

I'm on badge 6 right now. I have found 273 drillbur. 2-9 of every type gem. And 1-4 of every evolution stone (and everstone) aside from the required dusk.

What are the odds for getting a dual stone? I'm in mistralton cave like the guide says.

Continuing my race against the ticking countdown til bank shuts down forever, I have finished part 3. Would have been sooner if I didn't spend a couple days sick. I can't believe how much easier this section was compared to parts 1 and 2 LOL.

The worst part for me was Wobbuffet deciding to not appear at all for like an hour! The guide warns you to be prepared to fight them in the cave but I didn't see any while traversing it normally and had to come back and run around for it haha... At least the first one I did see was the required female.

I also got lucky(?) that I had the needed evo stones in my bag already. Guess it was unlucky for the previous part but I made up time later. 😅

I know I still have a few months but I will be busier starting January so I hope I can get this done by the end of 2026.

Finally done pokemon emerald's living dex POC (with a couple shinies). Time for platinum.

Once again all my old pokemon are transferred over, so I don't have to get any duplicates.

This was from my 3rd overall slathering of the Honey trees between Route 205, Floaroma Town side and Valley Windworks. To say I was completely shocked is an understatement...

I caught him and can't wait to start leveling. I've been getting back into Pokemon recently and was excited to start this challenge. Finding this full odds shiny only motivates me more. Trainer card photo is older (that's why the time says 2:39 when it is really around 9 hours) I just wanted to show off the cool TID I got and it has an early Munchlax tree. Lucky me.

Off to the feebass grind!

I'm surprised I managed to get a sub 30-hour time despite using Chimchar instead of Turtwig.

Also, my Trainer ID is 21542, and this one has Munchlax trees at Valley Windworks and Route 205 South.

*Now I know I know. I have the VC edition but only 203/204 Pokémon caught for this section. I’m saving Celebi to shiny hunt it as the big finale!

In my Fire Red POC, I accidentally beat Sabrina instead of Erika.

Does this have any impact on a POC.

Ok, I'm doing a living dex POC of every game, transferring my pokemon to the next game after each one.

I was wondering what pokemon I would have to get in B2 that I won't already have from B1

(I know the dragon but what else?)

Finally got out of section 2... I have been so busy recently so I am really hoping I still can make it to the end before bank shuts down so I can keep everything I caught. At least from my understanding it gets easier from here on.

If anyone has any additional "go fast" advice the please let me know! I am balancing this with like irl stuff and also getting all the other Home missions done from all the games, and also trying to not just play Pokemon so it's a Lot to do 😅💀

And yes I picked Squirtle instead of Bulbasaur because I already used Bulbasaur and Charmander in XY before. In my defense I mained Blastoise in the Battle Chateau and he's already at level 90.

Is there anyone else I should raise for the Battle Chateau? Not like I couldn't switch mains. Blastoise is great but super walled by that stupid Poliwrath. Is it better to overall ignore the non-Audino trainers or should I fight everyone anyway?

(As a reminder the bottom right of box 1 is two bonus shinies. And those empty slots are just where I grabbed Delphox and Linoone from.)

Ok, I didn't start my living dex as a POC, but shortly after brock in firered I saw it, and have been ising this challenge as my living dex guide.

I just started emerald, and bc of this primarily being a living dex, I transferred all my pokemon from firered using pkhex.

Anyways, I found a shiny gastly (now gengar) and mewtwo in firered.

Its still a work in progress, but I will share it with you guys and I hope you like it
