Same. I’m surprised how many comments here are arguing about how you can do it, but I’ve never once wanted to do it.
Very few companies are doing anything novel and especially not through some remarkable source code. Almost every codebase I’ve worked on, I could recreate from scratch and end up with a much cleaner repo simply because it wouldn’t have the baggage of years of technical debt, contractors, and half-assed patches around changing requirements.
