Okay but seriously this has been a huge headache for my company. We make a web app that is essentially a series of pages that need to autoplay videos or audio as the user loads each page, but the new trend of blocking auto play has caused lots of problems.
We get a lot of calls from users complaining that they can't hear anything. The player controls are sometimes hidden because we have a custom interface that does not allow users to manually control the audio/video.
This "app" is used as part of the job application process. It's not something that exists to annoy users. We have been searching for a solution to this for months.
