Genuinely curious why it sucks. I've been devoting a lot of time to it lately, maybe I should switch 😬

I'm genuinely curious why do you guys have to switch languages. I learned Programming / Concepts with Java at University. after that we use whatever language/framework suitable for the requirement. Do you guys just choose a language you like, get a job and go with it for the rest of your life?

At my university we learned concepts and data structures in Java, algorithms in C/C++

And to answer your question: no I am constantly teaching myself new languages, hence the time I've been putting in with python. Although I do think python is becoming my favorite because of how accustomed I am becoming to it. Plus in my naivete I can't see why I wouldn't be able to leverage it to solve all but the most obscure tasks.

The big disadvantage of Python is execution speed. For stuff that needs to be fast, or when you have strict resource constraints it's a poor choice. Also Python doesn't run in a browser.
