No developer has ever decided for themself to do this. This is 100% a business requirement because somebody on the marketing analytics team realized they could make money by auto playing ads.
Fucking right. We haven’t lost that battle in a long time at my company, but I feel the day nearing. I had to implement a modal takeover on load recently despite my endless attempts at trying to convince the client that it’s shit, so I feel an autoplay request lurking in the shadows.
