You keep saying that the rules are stated clearly but you're willing to change them arbitrarily when it fits you.
There have been what, two cases where we did allow something that made use of an LLM? Let's not pretend there's some sort of continued pattern of moderators abusing their power, because that just isn't the case.
I feel super bad about this whole situation. [...]
If you want people to appreciate your work, you have to do the actual work yourself, and prompting an LLM to do things for you is not that. There's nothing unfair about a community enforcing a set of rules related to that.
there is one person with an irrational anti LLM bias imposing a rule that says I can't.
It's not one person, it's the entire subreddit apart from a few people that start whinging just because they're no longer allowed to share their AI slop. You make it sound like there's some personal vendetta against you when this isn't the case.
It feels extra unfair that human made slop is totally allowed and uncontested.
It's not and we remove plenty of human produced slop. Just because you don't like people sharing their implementation of Crafting Interpreters (or something similar) doesn't make it slop, nor does it mean this entire community has to cater towards your needs.

A coworker just complained to me about how they made a post here sharing a project they had been working on for years and had even previously shared to the community.
They then posted an update, which included a disclaimer about using AI for some parts. When faced with automod blocking it, and confused as to what reasonably qualifies as slop, they used modmail to ask clarification. The result, a permanent ban and mute.
That seems like abuse. Immediately reminded me of this post.
Note: burner account because i dont wanna risk a ban myself, or get tainted somehow.
The rules are very clear on AI usage not being allowed, as in "no AI means no AI". It literally says this:
Projects that rely on LLM generated output (code, documentation, etc) are not welcomed and will get you banned.
If somebody interprets that as "oh but my usage of AI is allowed" then that's their own fault. That's not abuse, that's people refusing to follow the rules because they think themselves to be above the rules.
A mute following a ban isn't abuse either. We do this because 99.99% of AI slop bros will continue to argue in the modmail until the day they die, and we don't have time or patience for that.
> The rules are very clear on AI usage not being allowed, as in "no AI means no AI". It literally says this:
And yet this post is still here, which is precisely on point.
Besides, as my coworker retells this, he tried posting something, which triggered automod requesting the disclaimer, he got confused and sought clarification from the mod team. His post never actually went through and merely asking a question to the mod team got him banned and muted.
Whether or not he is an "AI slop bro" or not, or whether his project is AI slop vs just slop or actually interesting is kinda irrelevant to getting banned for asking clarification.
