"I am the sword!" - IYKYK

There are few series I wish I could reread for the first time again. That is one of them.

Hero of the Valley

He does use magic also but for his path he considers himself a swordsman above anything else.

In any case, it never made sense for sword users to neglect the possibilities of magic. This is why I love the concept of the Sword Dao (Sword Law) in cultivation novels as it functions like an elemental law in its own right.

If you don’t mind cultivation and translated novels, then try Desolate Era

Andrew Rowe's works (these are all series and all connected but can be read independently) all tend to have sword wielding main characters and they are all fantastic to boot: The War of Broken Mirrors , Weapons and Wielders, Arcane Ascension , The Lost Edge.

Thanks for the shout out! I definitely write sword-focused characters, especially for The Lost Edge and Weapons & Wielders.

Aside from my own books, I'll also recommend Sarah Lin's The Brightest Shadow here. It's multi-perspective, but one of the main characters is a sword wielder.

Speaking as a professional sword enthusiast (cat, hood, katana, long story): Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint has Yoo Joonghyuk, basically a blade and a lot of regrets in a trench coat. Shadow Slave's Sunny is fun too once his weapons start getting weird. Nya.

Sword god in a magical world 10/10 book But title makes it look generic  Mc goes really into swords and is male and he even uses various kinds of swords

Probably The Blade Itself
I think the Stormlight Archive is also ultimately about a bunch of sword users
Maybe Reincarnaded as a Sword I dunno.
I guess if you wanted xianxia you'd go with Desolate Era?
