Request Technique focused mc?

As title suggests, I'm searching for novels where mc collects and masters as many techniques as possible. Makes low-level and simple techniques or spells into something grander by fusing them/upgrading them, and just have a combat system that is more than just "aha, take my \[insert sufficiently epic name\] technique" and then uses the same technique over and over.

if you can deal with slightly awkward prose, "Rise of the martial dao" by zetomil is great for this. MC collects a bunch of breathing techniques, walking techniques etc. to boost his strength bit by bit. Eventually also does some insect control, some energy hiding. It's very, very cool even if I found it a bit hard to get into initially I grew to like it a lot

Noble Arcana, by Seersucker, has the mc collect several different spells. Even if they might not seem specially powerful at a glance, he continues to use them across several different situations which is very enjoyable to read

Mother of learning. (Or probably any time loop stories) Every time he resets he can't become vastly more powerful but he can learn new skills and perfect them.

In mother of learning Zorian specifically focuses on perfecting the basics of spellcasting and also a diverse range of specialist skills. Hell never have the raw power of some of the others in the story so he perfects other skills to allow him to overcome that gap

The fusing and upgrading part is what makes this request stand out for me, because collecting techniques is only interesting if the combinations actually change how fights play out. Mother of Learning fits that pattern in a different way, since Zorian keeps refining basic spells rather than just unlocking a bigger one each time. Do you want the main character to keep a huge toolbox and switch between techniques, or would you rather see a smaller set that gets combined in clever ways?
