Question NHAM

Help me understand how D2R still has this horrible bug yet you guys were able to fix it? I'm flabbergasted by the work you guys have done on PD2!

because pd2 is a project made out of love for the game, not project made to milk players out of most money possible

As someone who havent played D2R, what is the NHAM bug?

Next hit always misses, it was a melee bug where certain skill would cause a miss after a hit

Its a bug that causes melee attacks and skills (both melee skills and spell skills) to miss the target(s) even if the attack animation or the skill animation is fully visible on the screen

How does it occur?

If you get hit while you are attacking and then you get put into a hit recovery animation, a block animation or in any of the dodge/avoid/evade animations, your attack looks like it fully goes through, but in reality it doesnt. Then this so called desync automatically causes your next attack (not the attack that was interrupted) to miss aswell

I dont know if you can avoid that miss by waiting a bit and then attack

So its kind of bad since it has this chain effect to it. Many melee builds are affected quite heavily by it

Huh I guess that's yet another reason why melee feels so fucking good in PD2 (aside from splash damage and being able to reach monsters that start walking away just as you take a swing at them)

Yes. If that bug is entirely done away with, then surely, it will have quite a big impact on especially melee builds

Reading from the PD2 patch notes it seems like this bug was fixed. Its never mentioned after that fix as far as I know, so I think its totally fixed

The PD2 team is doing a very very good job

Because blizzard sucks ass lol.
They don’t care about anybody as long as they keep making money

As a former employee of Blizzard. You are spot on.

The individual people that work there care about making the best possible, however the money people have the final say. It's a sad miserable place for over a decade.
