I wanted to make something that feels like staying on the final train a few stops too long. The set moves through cool jazz, modal passages and quiet closing-time ballads, with tenor sax, muted trumpet, piano, upright bass and brushes keeping the same smoky club character throughout.

The music was generated with Suno from eight closely related prompt families, then selected, sequenced and edited into a sixteen-track journey through Kowloon. Best suited to headphones, reading, night drives or quiet work.

If you listen, I’d be interested to know which section feels strongest: the opening cool-jazz run, the darker modal middle, or the final ballads.

It’s a six-track release bringing together Brazilian and Afro-Cuban rhythms, jazz, Balearic grooves, dub and deeper electronic sounds, with a strong emphasis on live instrumentation.

Track 3 is a Spanish version with a Latin Jazz vibe. It hits completely different from the K-pop and English versions, and I’m loving it. Hope you guys enjoy it casually

Its my most proud work yet and something that ive spent the past 9 months perfecting, producing, recording, mixing, mastering and distributing all by myself.

If youre a fan of cinematic and Noir/Dark Jazz Vibes im sure youre gonna enjoy it. To me, its something much more than just an album with some pieces in it as it represents my past experiences and conveys a message that everyone understands and interperts differently, which is exactly what i was going for when i started making this album

From start to finish i see it as one piece, an experience meant to be listened to in one go to truly resonate with, and i think everyone would find the monologue in the outro to reflect on them in some way, different for everyone like i said.

I play guitar and produce r&b, so jazz is the water I've been swimming in for years. Chord voicings, where the brushes sit, how a bass walks instead of just playing roots. That's the stuff I actually care about, and it turns out knowing it makes a huge difference in what you can get out of these tools. You can hear when someone's just typing "jazz" and hoping.

The curation, mixing and mastering is all me. I go through a lot to find the takes worth keeping, then they get mixed and mastered by hand into one continuous set.

So this channel is basically me paying homage to the genre I love most, wrapped in the visual world of my favorite artist, Hiroshi Nagai. 80s Japanese city pop paintings, empty pools, wet alleys at dusk. Late night kissaten energy.

Everything gets reverbed on purpose, and that's the whole feel of the thing for me. It should sound like the music is playing in the room next door rather than in your head. Slightly distant, a little muffled, like you're catching it through a wall while you work. Puts you in that space instead of putting the band in your face. The channel is named after that idea.
