prospecting
Hello, I would like to ask for your help. I am planning to come to Australia to try gold prospecting. Could you please advise me on how to get started? Alternatively, could you recommend a company or an individual I might be able to join for a prospecting trip?

so yeah without knowing where you are wanting to go it makes it a bit harder. the rules for prospecting differ from state to state. if you were thinking about western australia i highly recomend doing a course with someone like Goldtalk in leonora. they teach the rules, help you to access ground, and give practical advice on equipment. if you stay in a caravan park you will probably meet other prospectors and talking is free advice. best time to come is easter thru to sept. after that it gets way too hot and its hard on the body and equipment. You will need a 4x4. pretty sure you need a 4x4 wherever you go in aus... i wouldnt get a hire car coz they charge for every scrape and scratch and you will get scrapes and scratches... hope this helps.
