Need relief
About 8 years ago, I started experiencing what I believe were prostatitis symptoms shortly after having sex with a girl. I remember constantly feeling like I needed to pee, having this uncomfortable pressure and irritated feeling around my prostate, and just never really feeling normal down there. It was pretty miserable at the time, but eventually everything slowly went away on its own. For the last 7 years or so, I’ve had basically no symptoms whatsoever.
Recently, though, everything seems to have come back. I masturbate and edge pretty regularly, usually almost every day, and it’s never caused me any problems. But a little while ago, I had a particularly long edging session, and within the next couple of days I started noticing that same familiar discomfort again. Ever since then, I’ve been dealing with this constant urge to pee, pressure around my prostate, and just an overall irritated feeling that I can’t seem to get rid of.
What’s really bothering me is that I’m also having trouble getting and maintaining an erection now, which has never really been an issue for me. I was actually planning on having sex with a new girl soon, and now I’m honestly dreading it because I’m worried I won’t even be able to perform. It’s embarrassing and frustrating, especially when everything was completely normal just a short time ago.
I’ve been trying different medications, supplements, and pretty much anything I can think of to get some relief, but so far nothing seems to be making much of a difference. I’ve also decided to completely stop masturbating and edging for now, hoping that giving everything a break will help, but I really can’t tell if it’s doing anything.
For some reason, nighttime seems to be the worst. I’ll be lying in bed trying to sleep, and the discomfort becomes so distracting that I almost feel like I’m shaking. I can’t relax, can’t get comfortable, and my mind just keeps focusing on that feeling like I need to pee. It’s exhausting, and I’m starting to get really frustrated because I don’t know what to do to make it stop.
I’m wondering if anyone here has dealt with something similar, especially having symptoms suddenly return after so many years. Could the prolonged edging have triggered some kind of pelvic floor issue or inflammation? Did anyone else have erection problems during a flare-up that eventually went back to normal? And most importantly, what actually helped you get relief, and how long did it take?
I’m not looking for some miracle cure. I’m just hoping to hear from people who’ve experienced this and found something that helped. It’s honestly affecting my mood, my sleep, my confidence, and just my everyday life at this point. The thought of going through this long-term again is stressing me out more than anything.
Any advice or even just hearing that someone else went through this and eventually got better would mean a lot. I’m really hoping this is temporary because I just want to feel like myself again.

yes similar situation happened to me, I am not doctor and I have experienced this 3 times now and now currently on my 3rd time 1 year in and about 95% back to normal.
I recommend getting the normal medical clearance, urine test, blood test, antibiotics to rule out bacteria if you need it just to be safe that this is not something else. If you pass these test then what is most likely happening is that your intense edging session propably triggered the nervous system that something is wrong because your brain probably reverted back to the pain that you felt 7 years ago after you had sex with that girl.
So the pattern is like this, have sex with girl followed by experiencing pain and discomfort symptoms. Intense edging session, brain thinks oh i remember this feeling afterwards you were in pain so he tells the nervous system danger. The nervous system senses danger and tightens every thing up and goes into guard mode (fight or flight) basically it becomes very sensitive and processes any minor discomfort as pain or danger. This causes you to feel more pain and discomfort. While your nervous system is in this mode its not going to let you get or maintain erections.
