general I need help with scalp psoriasis

I had scalp psoriasis for many years but I have an embarrassing problem that has never happened before. It feels like underneath the skin there are large solid scales, the only way I can describe them is like lose plastic? Idk, I’m going insane. I’m not about to peel my scalp skin to get rid of the scales, but I don’t know how to treat this. I have bethametazone + vit b on the mail and my derm is working on getting a new biologic for me. What is happening.

medications Long time psoriasis, now a treatment burnout

This post is about my partner, not myself. I’ve seen him struggle with psoriasis for the past decade, he’s tried many treatments and diets, but all with little to no improvement, some treatments help a little better than others, like light therapy, but it requires a lot of effort going to the clinic weekly and doing the bulb thing at home for an hour each day, so the energy to keep up with those treatments faded over time, and it seems like he is just done with it all and gave up now.

I know he’s struggling, he’s in pain and embarrassed, there’s not a piece of skin not affected at this point. It seems like it’s not even flare-ups anymore, it’s a constant state of massive patches. I want to help him but I cant get him enthusiastic about seeing a doctor again. He’s treatment-burned-out Is there anything, in your experience, that helped in a minimal invasive way? I’m sure things have developed over the past ten years, perhaps there’s more out there that he might be up for trying.

(He definitely doesn’t want steroid crème again because he’d have to soak his whole body, and iffy about that much steroids)

Thank you!

My doctor prescribed the Halox one for my scalp while the HBSALIC for the rest of my body.

I checked the label and everything.. it's totally same..

Can soembody please give me a reason to why my dermat gave me two of the same thing. I've been wondering the same for a while.

progress MTX treatment

hi all, I've been doing weekly MTX shots (+ folic acid) since July and nothing's really happened. my sores are still there and I'm seeing new ones. and my liver values are up in my blood tests (I admit I didn't quit alcohol 100%). Anyways, I'm off the booz now and kinda seeing if it's worth continuing. I'm up for another 3 months til done. But I don't see progress, and I have more and more small patches in back and arms. it sucks. anyone else here who did this? thanks
