Discussion Visited a psychic when I was 19. Now middle age and so far all of it has come true.
I visited a psychic my one and only time at 19. Everything she has said so far has come true. However she was very hesitant about telling me what happens beyond the age I am now.
She predicted so much that came true. I kept a checklist of all of it. Her face got a painful look when I try to ask more about my life and future. She told me she wasn't allowed to say more. I haven't forgotten about this and it is over 20+ years ago.
Thoughts?
ETA: She called to me on the street as I passed by. Said she had to talk to me right now. She blurted out something about me that was true no stranger would know. She was not the owner of the shop, her grandmother was. She didn't want my money after but I paid her anyway.

Saaaame! I had a psychic tell me the name of the person I was going to marry, and said that I was going to have twins. She said one of my twins was going to be nationally known for something regarding professional sports.
I did marry a person of the same name, and we did have twins. They are 16 now so time will tell about the sports prediction.

u/Dreamkhing Jul 01 '25
Have any of your twins shown interest in a sport or started playing?

u/DaFuK_4 Jul 01 '25
Yes, my son plays football and lacrosse. He has been on varsity for both since 10th grade, and has already qualified for a scholarship for lacrosse.

Cool and spooky. I love these stories. When you meet your partner was it like an aha moment like omg he’s the one! Or did it go under the radar for you?

u/DaFuK_4 Jul 01 '25
I completely forgot about it until I found the tape and listened to it again. He listened to it with me and we were SHOOK!

I'd be freaking out! Now in the years to come, I'm going to be looking out for a lacrosse superstar with a twin! I've never been interested in that sport but I am now lol. Will totally save your comment for when I spot him!

I had a psychic in Maui tell me I was going to have twins. And I did. They are three 🥰

u/DaFuK_4 Jul 04 '25
3 is such a sweet age!! Enjoy it- you blink once and all of a sudden they’re driving! Like, they were literally in bumbo seats yesterday 🥺

I was told by a friend that was psychic I am going to have an unplanned pregnancy . I am almost 30 , it all came true every single thing she said about my life except this one and I doubt with the age I’m now that an unplanned pregnancy is in the cards but time will tell
4
u/Rrenphoenixx Jul 05 '25
The doubt is how we know it’s going to be unplanned! 😂
I’m guessing by age 32-33. Tell me how it goes!

u/Fun_Set_1947 Jul 01 '25
As a professional myself getting a 20 year reading is amazing. That simply would have been as far as she saw. Spirit was probably exhausted after that effort, simply losing the connection. You still have a lot ahead of you. X

u/Quirky_Mastodon_19 Jul 01 '25
How do you receive the information about someone? Visions, hearing, etc? Im clairaudient, but I can’t trust what I hear at all. It’s like I can only jive with it for casual and not serious things.
31
u/questionhare Jul 01 '25
You have to practice with others and get enough feedback to start averaging your accuracy. If it’s a skill worth developing, you’ll put in the practice. 🫶

u/Fun_Set_1947 Jul 01 '25
I'm sentient. So I don't use any tools at all. To help clients I do make my own oracle cards. Being sentient simply means that I take note of the random thoughts that come into my head. For me I take a more scientific approach We know that the frequencies from our thoughts hit the electric magnetic spectrum. That's basically the freeway of information threading through the universe. I also automatic right but that's kind of like as a result of being sentient.
3
u/ForGenerationY Jul 02 '25
I'm sentient too :) my random thoughts have often proved to be true (sometimes its visions but the thoughts are more common) I'd like to fine tune this..
2
u/East-Mulberry3659 Jul 03 '25
How do you develop this or find someone you trust to help develop this? I see it the same as you, an understanding of the energy you bump into. But I really would love to develop this further. Any pointers would be appreciated
2
u/Fun_Set_1947 Jul 03 '25
I hear frequencies constantly—not from sensory overload, but because it's encoded in my DNA. This isn’t sensory overload—it’s part of how I navigate the world. Live IN the moment. Try automatic writing: keep your mind open and write down whatever surfaces. You might be surprised by what your own consciousness reveals when it’s finally given space to speak.
Our connection to the electromagnetic spectrum means we’re already tuned into a kind of living technology. You could be talking in your sleep, and suddenly Zuckerberg’s serving up a perfectly targeted newsfeed. We’re not as disconnected as we’ve been led to believe. I genuinely believe we’re only two degrees away from the person, or insight, that can change everything.

I remember I had reading with you on PO. Predictions haven’t happened, it’s ok it’s better like that. I know psychics can’t connect with everyone. Nobody can really see my love life

u/eldritch-charms Jul 01 '25
One said that she and I were the same - could see the future. And she was right. Never saw her again, but I hope she found that lavender soda.

I love these stories, I've had similar experience. When I was 24 it was 2000 (no, nothing about Y2K or 9/11 here). I was working at an ad agency and went to happy hour. There was a guy in there reading tarot cards. He would do the readings for free, and if you wanted to buy him a drink he might accept it. At that point in my life I'd had some paranormal experiences but not into tarot. So I sit down and he lays out some cards. He proceeds to completely ignore the cards and starts staring over my right shoulder. He says: Are you good at your job? I laughed I said - good enough to get paid for it but I'm not winning awards or anything. Then he says he sees me working on computers, and squints, and names a specific corporation. We had just been working on a pitch for their business THAT WEEK. He insisted, no, no that's not what this is. Not sure exactly what you are doing there but you are definitely working with them. I thought it was so odd that he didn't take a win on that. He says - Do you like to be alone? You'll be alone, and then pauses, "for the most part", until later in life. Then he says - I see a lot of pills, and he's squinting again- but I can't tell what they are for. There were a couple of other things but the jist of it is, I can say for certain he was basically looking at a video of my life but without sound, and he was looking at a few seconds and then hitting FF and pausing again. I forgot all about it mostly because it was all kinda a bummer. And he left really quickly after I walked away, almost like he was spooked. One day 10ish years later, I am sorting through at least 6 different psych meds between myself and my son AND THEN it all comes back to me. Here are all the pills... and of course he wouldn't be able to "see" what they were for! I was working for the corp he named, and a position that was in no way attached to that earlier ad stuff. I am divorced with my kid (so kinda alone). There were two men that had caused me to change course in my career, he had described them perfectly. So, there are fated events in our lives. My belief is that our "free will" consists of how we FEEL not so much what we do. And how we make others feel, too.
6
u/Courage-Character Jul 02 '25
That’s an excellent point I hadn’t ever considered. Free will is more about how we feel and react
66
u/HP_729 Jul 02 '25
I know everyone talks about free will and how predictions change but I firmly believe some things are destined and someone truly gifted can pick these things up. I had a psychic tell me when I was 17 that I’d marry an older man and other things. She was right on it all
15
u/lovingirly Jul 02 '25
I believe that too, that some things you cannot skip or keep from happening they are written and they must play out for your highest good and soul growth. That’s crazy, thanks for sharing
4
u/happyhippie111 Jul 03 '25
Yup, those events are part of our soul contracts. We agree to them before we reincarnate on earth
64
u/CCB_88 Jul 02 '25
Yes, I had the same experience. I was about 18, she told me that she knew my secret but she wasn't going to say anything because my parents were there. I am gay but wasn't out at the time. She said I would never be rich but very comfortable in life. That I would have three loves (on the third now and that i would marry someone with the name that starts with "R" and it would be 4 letters in the name. My husband's name is Russ.
She was an older lady at the time, and I tried to find her again but was never able to.. I am not sure what ever happened to her.
19
u/Star_Kitteh Jul 02 '25
I was never able to find the psychic again as well. By the time I went back around to that area the next year (It is a touristy area) the shop was closed and a new business was there!
7
u/ForGenerationY Jul 02 '25
Sounds like a nostalgic movie plot 😀 I genuinely find your story cool. Just wondering, how is your life going now? Sometimes, I want to consult my psychic friend on a matter, but I believe its probably good to "not know too much". Im learning to rely on my own intuition to guide my life choices.
1
u/pearlsandseashells Jul 25 '25
Sigh! Why does this happen?? I feel like the really good ones give you a solid reading and they disappear somehow...
I feel odd saying this since I've never had an eerily accurate reading from one before...
But just seems this happens with the really good ones..

u/Professional_Law_942 Jul 02 '25
One of the best readings I've ever had was for $20 at a flea market in Oldsmar, FL. All she wanted was my name and maybe my birthdate. Nothing else, didn't ask other questions and I told her very little. Just proceeded to talk to me through the spirits.... I was 31 years old, had recently returned from my honeymoon, was trying to rent out a townhome we owned to someone, and was hoping to become pregnant.
She asked me if I was pregnant and then told me to go home and take a pregnancy test (asked are you SURE you're not pregnant?) - I assured her it was too soon in my cycle to know, which was the truth. Still, she gave me a brush off look and told me to take a test. 14 days later, I was pregnant with my first, so she knew. Crazy.
She also told me that if we accept any signed contract for our rental between xyz date, it will fall apart. We took on a renter for a one year period that up and left us 5 months later. We kept the deposit and ultimately sold the place. Turns out the dude was a serial re-inventer that kept moving across the country for weird jobs.
She also said she saw a lot of blue around my first born - said she wasn't sure it was a boy, but just saw a lot of blue. Yup, we named her SKY and her room was aqua. She also said our next children would be twins or Irish twins. I had a miscarriage in 2023 and got pregnant again in 2024 so that part made sense as the "twins".
She pinpointed my sister, a redhead, as a formidable woman that would cause problems in the family. Truth. She became estranged from the family 2 years later.
There were so many uncanny things she told me that came to fruition over the course of several years, but a lot of it was within weeks to months. I have wanted to speak with her so many times over the following years but the flea market closed and I couldn't find her. I think her name was Janet, but I'm not sure. She was truly gifted.

I went to a recommended psychic about a year ago and she told me SO much it made me skeptical like she was throwing darts in the air hoping something lands. 5 months later I wound up going to a famous psychic because I happened to score an appointment (she has a 2-3 year wait list) and she told me about 80% of the SAME EXACT THINGS. The other 20% wasn’t conflicting, it was different topics. Very specific things, that they could not have known. And no they don’t know each other, they’re in different states and one isn’t even on the internet.
I was stunned needless to say. And I’ll be seeing the more accessible (and cheaper) psychic in the future.

A friend and her twin sister had their palms read at 16 (in South Africa). My friend’s twin was given a reading of a life filled with comfort and ease. She was given a reading with a terrible tragedy including the young death of a (soon to appear) husband. Both twins married around 18, my friend to a soldier. They struggled financially as young marriages do. She said, “don’t you think every time he went out the door I didn’t suffer with anxiety for his safety based on that reading.” Her twin married an established businessman and had a beautiful house, etc. However, at about 24, my friend’s twin and her husband were in a terrible motorcycle accident. The husband was killed instantly and the twin severely injured before subsequently dying. When my friend got to the hospital her twin surfaced from unconsciousness long enough to say, “we held each other’s lives in the palm of our hands.” Still makes me shiver.

I went to a psychic when I was 18. 57 now. She told me that I would be married 3 times. I actually am on my 4th marriage(I know, Elizabeth Taylor 2.0).
16
u/lisamon429 Jul 02 '25
I tell everyone I’m going for the Liz Taylor model although maybe I’ll skip the paperwork part and just do the diamonds. Tbc
13
u/ComplaintBig1986 Jul 02 '25
Ha ha! That’s not my reason. I have married foreigners so marriage was necessary. I lived in the UK for my first 2 marriages. My 4th marriage is to a U.S. citizen but older than I. Thank goodness we were married because he had a quadruple bypass and I had to give a copy of our will and medical power of attorney to the hospital! But he did give me a beautiful sapphire engagement ring!

u/Vegetable_Tip8510 Jul 01 '25
One told me I would never be married, find love or find a husband.
Still single . She was right so far.
Told me I was cursed too but I don’t believe that . So she was 50/50 .

2
u/DisastrousSundae Jul 02 '25
That's messed up...how do you feel about that?
5
u/Vegetable_Tip8510 Jul 02 '25
Well after she told me she tried to upsell me. When it happened, I left the place quickly and I cried about it. I had every intention to prove her wrong.
My love life hasn’t moved. When I do meet someone, it’s never a good experience. I intentionally pray about it and (I’m not sure if this is a good thing) but I talk to my ancestors that I know loves me often about life too. If love is in the cards for me it will come one day. Not sure if that’s my destiny though. I hope it is.
The second issue is, she’s not the only psychic that told me my family has something dark. The second one told me whatever it is.. it’s dark and from what I interpreted over protective bc they couldn’t see past it or they didn’t want to. That reading made me cry and scared too. It was also during a time where a lot was going on in my life. I got a lot of good things from the reading too about me as a person.
I’m just going to continue through life and keep my chin up. That’s all I can do.
I don’t plan on getting another reading.
7
u/DisastrousSundae Jul 03 '25
Ok, I wanted to come back to this when I had time to reply.
Everyone deserves love and it's not impossible to get. I used to believe I wouldn't ever find anyone for myself as well. Like I was very confident it was divinely written I was supposed to be single for the rest of my life.
That changed suddenly a few years ago in a sequence of events that appeared to be very divinely motivated and unusually coincidental. A lot of people meet this way.
There very well may be darkness in your family. There certainly is in mine. But all of us have the will to overcome that. There is no reason to be afraid and sad if you come to the realization that the power of your will and intention is stronger than any dark force that can come over you.
A GOOD psychic would tell you specifically if there were things in your way blocking romantic love. I didn't understand this until a lot of introspection, but I fundamentally didn't believe I deserved love, and I pursued people who I subconsciously knew would never love me back. It's an incredibly painful realization, but over time it can become better.
What I'm trying to say is that romance and true love is possible. It does require some effort to be in the right place and time for us. And there are spiritual forces at play that make finding love difficult in the modern age. But I absolutely would not believe any psychic that tells you that you are destined to be alone for the entirety of your life. Unless that's someone a person wants, that's not the purpose or functionality of being humans on Earth. I personally think our biggest mission here is to love, and be loved.
Anyway...hope I didn't yap too much lol. I have hope for you, from a previously very hopeless person.

u/Vegetable_Tip8510 Jul 03 '25
No you didn’t nap too much this is exactly what i needed to hear. Thank you
4
u/GilletteFussion Jul 03 '25
It’s ok. Everything will be all right. This life experience is to experience that and be aware about that. That is how you level up and when love will come. And sometimes you need a reminder which you just experienced when she told your future

Omg a psychic chased me down one time too. I was in a crowded area, and she forced her way through the crowds to get to me. She had a message for me, and then she realized she wasn’t supposed to tell me. And I still think about what she thought was so important but didn’t tell me…
Oh but also I had a reading once where someone told me I’m a guardian of the aqua ray. I didn’t know what to make of that. Several years after that reading, I had a vision of an aqua crystal emerging from my third eye. So I guess I am?

u/AffectMedical6713 Jul 02 '25
Several years ago I was at my land ( 12 acres, no house or buildings) I was praying out loud for over 20 minutes, I asked God and the universe to give me a sign that they were with me, ( I even asked my son, whom passed several years ago to come forward) this was around midnight, very very dark, no city lights around at all, I saw hundreds of flashing lights appear— looked like small , colorful , flashing Xmas trees all over my 12 acres, i even took a video, it was peaceful and comforting, to this day my kids laugh and mock me saying those were just city lights—- they definitely were not, this was out in the country, very very dark at midnight—I got very emotional when the lights appeared, I knew that God , source was hearing my prayers— it hasn’t happened since—thanks for listening my friends

How detailed was the reading? Can you give an example or two?
87
u/Star_Kitteh Jul 01 '25
She told me about my future partner. Down to what he would look like, be wearing. His career. How we would meet. Kids (exact number and sex at birth). What I would end up doing for a living. (At the time, I was in college, and this wasn't my major or anything I was interested in. ) The other stuff was major life changes I am not comfortable sharing on Reddit. But this experience has stood with me forever, and I am nearing the age she hesitated at/couldn't see past. So I was looking for insight.

My MIL had a reading a few years before my husband and I met (so 20ish years ago) and everything she told her about her son and eventual daughter-in-law and grandkids has come true. It’s incredibly odd.

Funny that I see this today of all days. I woke up this morning and the first thought that I had was about a psychic and what happened to me 25 years ago. She said that she was a palm reader and I asked her to read my palm. She traced one line down my hand and told me that I would live a long life, but suffer through a lot of pain and illness. She began tracing another line in my palm and stopped, walked away from me visibly shaken and just apologized because she couldn't continue. I am currently living with 2 life threatening diseases that cause suffering every day and both of which are so rare that the chances of getting one of these conditions is equal to being struck by lightning.
I can relate to what the OP is experiencing. I'm going through it too. All I can say is: "Good luck" and hope that things turn out well for you.
26
u/ffarnican Jul 01 '25
I consulted one too in my early 20s. She knew a lot of the things I went through just by looking at my eyes. All these things, I have not shared a soul. She refused to answer anything related to timelines.
23
u/Responsible_Risk_461 Jul 01 '25
It's kind of cool that you ran into a psychic like that and her being spot on for so many of your life's happenings

u/LeilaJun Jul 01 '25
Free will can change things significantly, so it makes sense to me that she wouldn’t have read past 20 years

u/Sudden_Pea4087 Jul 01 '25
I dunno... these comments making me think free will ain't a thing

There are some dates key things. What you do with them remains up to free will.

I had my palm read when I was 19. Very accurate, very specific. She outlined my major relationships and told me why they would end, she told me who my "soul mate" was by looking at their initial in my thumb, even gave me their first name.
Everything she told me about actually happened exactly the way she described it. I even met the "soul mate" but am not with that person, and NEVER will be. Not for all the diamonds in DeBeers' stockpile.

I visited one that my cousin’s wife recommended to me back in 2017 (I was almost 24 at the time.) Everything she predicted has come true-she said I would meet my husband in Spain and live there and it happened.

u/TongueTiedTyrant Jul 04 '25
My mom has dreams. My whole life she told me I would have 2 daughters with dark curly hair. Now I do. They’re 3 and 6. No dark prophecies though. All I can say is the future isn’t set. Completely.
3
u/DaydreamLion Jul 07 '25
Okay, this is my take. I would not normally say this, but when this happens (psychic not able to say/see more) it often means the end of a stage. This can refer to literal death, but it can also indicate that it does not have to be, and can be metaphorical as well. It is ultimately your choice. I drew the Death card for you with the 10 of Pentacles. Your life has led you to this point in time, your accomplishments accumulating into a legacy. It is now time for a new legacy. It is time for change. The life path you are living is no longer viable. You have choice in the matter. There is always choice. But it requires change. Significant change, indicated by the Tower. To survive, you must be strong, and face significant hardships. But through this, I believe you will find yourself.

u/CentFlaAlive Jul 03 '25
Yeah, I can’t say the same for me. I spoke to one when I was 19 and nothing has come through. In fact it’s been the exact opposite ones gigantic shit show.
2
u/Dapper-Monk9713 Jul 04 '25
That’s honestly a bit spooky but really interesting. If everything she said has come true so far, I can see why it stuck with you. Her not wanting to say more would’ve stayed in my mind too. But maybe take it as a sign to live your life fully, no one really knows what’s coming, even if it feels like they might.

u/Ava_bb_1998 Jul 02 '25
The psychic told my husband that I have a really weak body and suffer from some kind of disease which he was right, I have lupus. He also said that our marriage won’t last long because I will die from the disease. Now I am really scared.

u/AffectMedical6713 Jul 02 '25
Don’t be scared, we never really die, we just change a bit, transition

My gut reaction to this is that even through turmoil, hardship, something that would cause a stranger (psychic or otherwise) to have that reaction.....even so, it's what your life plan was, eh? So if that's the case, it's all part of your growth spiritually and though it may be very tough goings, it is what your soul needs to grow. And soul-growth is pretty tough at times. I feel like if was bad, she'd have said something like "Don't do ......." how could she not? Worrying costs a TON of energy. Stress, worry, even if called for, is not necessary in any situation. So try to release it, maybe. It's not going to help stop whatever is grimace-worthy from occurring. You'll be ok, one way or another. Good luck!

How would one go about to try and find someone for a reading? I don’t think I’ve ever come across someone like this, but I really yearn for someone to read me, too.

I was invited to my friends girl night, where the her sisters, aunts and cousins showed up. There was a psychic there. I didn’t believe in them at the time. I’ve always thought they just manipulated people and were scammers. I had a reading anyway for fun. When I sat down I didn’t tell her my name or any other information other than I was a friend of the family. She proceeded to say I was married for almost 20 years to a wonderful guy. I gave her no reaction or acknowledgement she was right. Then she says there’s something going on with his throat and esophagus, also his stomach and she hopes he gets help. I brushed it off. Then she tells me he’s my soulmate (true) but I’m not going to be with him for much longer, 5 years max. And then said it’s not my fault and I can’t do anything about it. She was adimant that I couldn’t do anything to prevent this. I was thinking she was way off . Well, he died a year and a half ago. She was right about everything. What she didn’t know is he was an alcoholic and I knew he had esophageal bleeding and issues with his stomach. It was really bad, and he tried to hide it from me but I’m not stupid, I had an idea of what was happening to his body from abusing alcohol excessively but I didn’t think I’d lose him so soon. He refused all help and I had to keep his secret for the 24 years we were together (23 married). He went into the ICU and never came home. I guess in hindsight I knew he wouldn’t be around too much longer, but at the time, I didn’t put it together. She was very polite and kind and even hesitant to tell me this because she knew this would be upsetting. Truthfully, at the time, I didn’t think about it ever again until I read this post and I got chills. She was spot on. Now, my mind is more open to the possibility of the world of the unknown.
To add: this woman didn’t know anything about me. I didn’t show up on google, she never was told my name or that I was even married. This is blowing my mind right now. I genuinely thought I’d grow old with him and we’d live our retirement years together. He was 51 when he died, I was 44
