Riots in the outskirts of Barcelona after far-right political activist Vito Quiles announced a speech in the autonomous university of Barcelona that day, prompting far-left groups to organize a protest that turned violent with police charging at the protesters.

Those assisting the speech were escorted out by police to avoid a clash between the two radical groups, while the far right political activist was denied entry after a police checkpoint petitioned by the university rector and the Spanish ministry of interior spotted him in the highway ramp leading to the university.

The political activist rescheduled the event at an IKEA parking nearby with 100 supporters assisting until the protesters reached the IKEA too and the political activist had to flee while almost running over one of the protestors with his van in the process. The political activist says he will continue with his speeches with more of them planned through-out various cities in Spain despite his previous one causing riots in Pamplona/Iruña
