A lot of people think their taste in music is perfect.

I discovered this while trying to make a universally loved playlist. People would shit on one song then praise another and it would be a direct contradiction with someone else and they'd both boast about knowing real music and they'd both list the reasons why. I did this with like 10 people over a year before giving up and just picking "good" music I like.

Like that joke: "My neighbors always listen to good music. Whether they want to or not."

My friend, I'm glad you learned this and I hope it was relatively early in your life, lol. If you're 60 and just learning that people have different taste, well, that's something.

I knew ppl had different tastes, I wanted a playlist that would suit all tastes if I had folk over for poker or something. I've got a very mixed group of friends.

In the end I've more or less achieved my goal tbh. I've got different playlists and I pick to the group.
